Comments and trackbacks have been permanently disabled on the blog--the templates I have don't support TypeKey registration, and I can't make my brain wrap around what's required, even with very detailed instructions.
The spam is just horribly unbearable, though--sometimes only a few messages in a week, sometimes more than 200 in a day, both in comments and trackback pings.

Much as I love the original template I had for the blog, I've been tossing around the idea of finding something new for awhile, and I finally found it. This lovely template is from the folks at Blogfrocks, and I'm still in the process of tweaking it here and there, but it looks like everything's working okay.
If you notice anything missing, please let me know.
Oh yes, comments are still broken (and the comment link from the main page brings up the old color scheme, I'll have to look at that later), but I think that may be an issue with the template itself, since my TypeKey stuff seems to be set up correctly. As always, please email or comment in the LJ RSS feed to give feedback on entries.
Comments are messed up for awhile. I got tired of dealing with the spammers and their new and creative ways of getting around the MT-Blacklist, so I registered for a TypeKey identity. Well, now the template appears to be a bit broken, so I'm going to need to hammer on that for a bit.
Please use the LJ feed to comment, if you come via the syndication feed. Otherwise, well. Just send email. :)
We've upgraded to the newest version of Movable Type--if you have any weird issues when trying to post comments or anything, or if anything looks strange, please let me know.
And, the newer version of MT Blacklist is very, very nice.
Brett told me last night that he's added something to Movable Type to help prevent the pornspam that's been left the comments of a lot of blogs lately. Though there shouldn't be any issues, if you have any problems leaving me comments, please send me email. :)
