But if you're more interested in revelations about characters, there are a couple of those too--even if none are terribly salacious. :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Log: You slide off of Lysseth's neck to land beside her easily. She rumbles, cocking her head down at you, and you rub her eyeridges gratefully. Cygnith backwings for a landing. Cygnith circles down for a landing, complaining by the sound of his rumbles. Leaning against her tree, Suzot watches all the dragons land and their riders dismount before pushing off the tree in a slow movement. Aphrael nods over to Suzot in greeting, pausing a moment to lean back against Prefeth's hide as she waves over to Kassima and Asrai, Prefeth warbling greetings to his green clutchsib and the other blue. Kassima jumps down from Lysseth's neckridges as soon as the dragon has settled, landing lightly on the ground. "Heya, Aph, Su, Asrai," she greets in turn, smiling. One hand is used to wave, that unoccupied by the sleeping EvilSpawn that is her daughter. Up between Cygnith's neckridges, Asrai shakes her head, though you can hear her laughing from atop Cygnith's back. she waves to the others as Cygnith warbles a greeting. Asrai makes her way down from Cygnith's back. Suzot bows from the waist. "Welcome home," she tells all the dragons first, then the riders. Asrai seems to be in just too good of a mood as she turns to the others. "Heya Suzot, Kassi, Aph." Aphrael spoils her inner serenity by sneezing several times. Cursing lightly, she sniffs and mutters. "Sharding spring air.." Kassima makes a good-natured face at Suzot. "There's nay need to bow, y'know--'tis just us! 'Tis good t'be back; after two days, even sunning at Boll starts to poll just a bit... ach, Aph. Have you those allergies Garant told me about? Hay fever, I think he called it?" Asrai giggles skipping over from Cygnith's side. She takes a deep breath, "Oh it smells wonderful Aph!" Benden Weyr> M'kla tralalalas and becomes one of many to do the naughty and MUSH from work! Benden Weyr> T'ren walks into the 'Cantina and orders a margarita. Benden Weyr> Elyandra says, "M'KLA!" Benden Weyr> Suzot volunteers to help with at least one of those activities. Benden Weyr> Asrai POUNCES a M'kla and T'ren!! Aphrael wrinkles her nose, rolling her eyes at Kassi. "Hay fever," She repeats, snoring. "There's nothing hay-ish.. or fever-ish about it. I just /sneeze/." Staring jealously at Asrai, she sniffles. "It smells wondering when it doesn't do.. this.." She sneezes again. Benden Weyr> Kassima throws flower petals at the naughty M'kla, and rolls out the red carpet? Benden Weyr> M'kla prances down it, quite amused. Benden Weyr> T'ren oofs :) Benden Weyr> K'ti welcomes M'kla to the ranks ;) Benden Weyr> M'rgan volunteers to help M'kla do the naughty. ;) Benden Weyr> T'ren says, "No, it's too perilous." Kassima tugs a fairly clean cloth from one pocket, profferring it to Aph. "Can't say I understood the name, m'self. Perhaps 'twould be better if'n you went inside? 'Twas headed that way; I hear food calling me." Benden Weyr> Kindre supersnugs yon M'kla, T'ren, Ely & K'ti!! And a Browing for good measure :) Benden Weyr> T'ren says, "Hey, your Worship." Asrai smiles brightly, inhaling deeply once more. she pouts slightly at the thought of going inside on such a wonderful day, but its not long lived, in fact its gone in the blink of an eye. "Yes, I am rather thirsty myself." Benden Weyr> K'ti woo's and hoards that supersnug. Benden Weyr> Devlin waves! Benden Weyr> Suzot SNUGS everyone who'll let her. Benden Weyr> Asrai wavies to everyone arriving :) Aphrael gratefully accepts the cloth, noisily blowing her nose as she rubs at Prefeth's side affectionately. "I'll be okay, dearheart. Just a cold," nodding to Kassi in agreement, she starts to make her way inside. "Sounds like a good idea." Benden Weyr> Devlin snugs Suzot, lasciviously. :) Aphrael walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern. Benden Weyr> Suzot heh's. Benden Weyr> Elyandra lays an egg, just to be different Benden Weyr> Kindre woo's T'ren ;) And meant Brownie, not Browing...gah, my lag kills my spelling ;) You walk past the lintel and into the wide living cavern. Benden Weyr> K'ti hums quietly, "I'm gonna get you little fishies.. I'm gonna get you little fishies... " Lysseth> Suzot bows to the dragons again as the riders leave them. Suzot walks in from the bowl. Lysseth> Asrai skips after the others. Benden Weyr> Aphrael hi-42's K'ti. Fellow RD fan? :) Asrai walks in from the bowl. Aphrael walks in, freezing for a moment on the point of a sneeze, but it fades. With a sigh of relief, she moves further in, aiming for a table over by the hearth as she tosses jacket and gloves down in a chair, sliding into the one next to it. Asrai humms to herself as she goes over to the serving table and gets a platefull of the light bread that Ofira made special for her not so stable stomach. Despite the easy decision on food, she spends many more moments in front of the table holding beverages. Kassima makes tracks for the food, of course, seemingly famished. "Is there aught that I can get you while I'm up, Aph?" she wonders. "Or either of you, Asrai, Suzot?" Benden Weyr> K'ti grins merrily, "what else? Too fast chicken mirago! Salless looks delighted and bustles over to tell you the latest. Salless whispers, "Here's what I have heard. Oh me, did you hear what happened in here the other day? Those two Blueriders, R'val and Asrai, were whispering together in here. Well, he must have said /something/ astonishing....next thing anyone knew, there the tiny rider was, fainted dead away on the floor. Well, looks like C'vadan and Caitria are no more. Tis a pity, too - they were such a nice couple. No one is sure whether the Herder is returning to Benden or not, either. Tis a pity. Rumors! Well here's a truth! Our weyrleader has a new child--a girl. Both Mother and daughter are well. The newborn's name is 'Kiani'. Quite nice! My stores of tincture of asparagus are almost gone." She smiles. "We know who's been at their cups. " Suzot shakes her head, though she does roll up her sleeves. "I can get drinks or make klah if anyone'd like," she offers. Aphrael rubs at her eyes, peering over at those by the food table. With a rueful chuckle, she asks, "Any nice white wine?" Food? What's that? Asrai shakes her head with a smile, "No, that's alright, I got mine." Finally she makes up her mind and pours herself a mug of...no this can't be...the Water. turning she humms as she heads back to the table with Aph, ploping down. Aphrael's eyes widen faintly, and she gesture to the mug in Asrai's hands. "Is that.. well, hasn't the Water already done enough for you?" She asks the other bluerider, with a signifcant glance towards Asrai's stomach. Kassima sets to preparing her own meal, choosing a medly of porcine ribs, cream of tomato soup, some sourdough rolls, and a large chunk of nut pie. Grabbing a mug of cider and a goblet of white wine, she manages through some feat of dexterity to balance all of this. "Asrai," she asks in puzzlement as she sets Aph's wine down before her, "you're nay drinking the *Water*, are you? D'you have some sudden urge t'wind up with triplets?" R'val walks in from the bowl. Suzot immediately glances towards Asrai's stomach. "Och, bright blessings, Asrai, and congratulations." R'val wanders inside, tucking his gloves under one arm, "Evening all." he remarks, moving to his usual table. Asrai looks down at the liqued with a shrug, "Well, I'm already pregnant....its not like it could really do anything /more/....could it?" She looks to each friend in turn. "I mean, that's not what M'kla told me...." Asrai looks over and smiles brightly at Suzot, "Thank you Suzot. Heya R'val." she greet the fellow Blue rider, lifting the mug to her lips to drink, not convinced that the Water can do anything more then it already has to her. Aphrael inclines her head gratefully at Kassi as she tugs the glass of wine towards her, taking a faint sip as she stifles another sneeze. Her mouth quirks faintly in response to Asrai's question, though she refrains from commenting. No doubt Kassi will explain all the hazards herself. Kassima waves in a preoccupied fashion towards R'val, settling down in her seat and checking to make sure that Kaylira is secure in her sling. "My personal theory is that drinking it *after* you're pregnant causes multiple births," she informs Asrai before taking her first bite of soup, sounding quite serious. R'val grins at his fellow bluerider, and chortles, "Dear me, another Water discussion?" Benden Weyr> Kassima arghs. My IC food is making me OOCly hungry. I'll be right back once I've procured some food. :) Aphrael glances up and smiles in greeting to R'val, waving languisly over at the bluerider. "Heyla, Uri." R'val grins at Aphrael and winks at her, "Hullo you. How goes?" Asrai frowns, looking down into her mug. "M'kla would have told me if something like that would happen.....I'm sure she said the number was already decided..." Aphrael rolls her eyes expressively, muttering, "Besides having.." she pauses, trying to get the term right, "Hay fever? Oh, none too badly, I suppose." "But you never know, with the Water," Kassi points out helpfully. "Remember how people naysaid all of the legends last time? And just look what happened." She nods first towards Asrai's abdomen, then towards her own child for good measure. Asrai nods, still stubbornly drinking the water. "Oh, I know that Kassi. And I don't dispute it. But that was with getting pregnant in the first place. I never heard anyone before say that drinking when you are already pregnant lead to multiple children. Not like everyone was saying about the original getting pregnant part." Suzot defiantly pours herself a glass of water. Kassima shrugs, taking a bite of her ribs. "You can choose nay to believe me," is her reply once she's swallowed. "But when you wind up with three spawn, you'll regret it!" Aphrael absently flicks at her glass, not paying all that much attention to the water conversation. She pauses though, blinks, and peers up, an amused light in her eyes. "Say.. you guys want to play a game?" Suzot turns around to drink her water, putting her lips to the glass and setting it down with, should anyone actually give enough of a Shell to check, the same amount of water left in it. R'val glances askance at Aphrael, eyebrow raised in question, "What game?" Asrai looks over the rim of her mug at Kassi and impudently sticks her tongue out at her friend before poping a bit of bread into her mouth. chewing, she nods to Aph, then swallows. "A game? what kind of game? Like Dragon Poker of something?" Kassima sets down her spoon, picking up her roll and taking a hearty bite. One might get the correct impression that she's very hungry. "A game? Certes; I like games. What sort of game had you in mind?" Aphrael quirks a grin, glancing around at the others as she answers, "No, not like dragon poker. It's called Honesty or Dare. Shards, but I haven't played it in a long time now. Any of you heard of it?" R'val frowns, "Honesty or dare. Oh!" He snaps his fingers, "Where we're asked to choose to tell the truth, or take a dare, and we do one or the other. Yeah, done that once." He grins, "i was quite drunk at the time mind you." Asrai shakes her head, "Ma was never big into games." Suzot stands on the fringes of the room, watching and listening but not taking part in the happenings. "Never heard of it," Kassi admits, looking at Aph over her roll. "What're the ru--oh! Wait, I think I recall that once! I didn't choose t'play, 'cause 'twas late and I'd nay urge to have to tell strangers truths about m'self. It might be interesting with friends, though...." Aphrael chuckles lightly to R'val, nodding. "Well, that's the easy way to get out of it. When you're drunk you don't much care how embarassing things are. The trick is doing it /sober/." Glancing over, she waves to Suzot to join them, smiling. "It's good fun, especially if you ask the right questions." Asrai drinks more of her water, still smiling...she'll prove Kassi wrong one of these days. Of course, she isn't really putting much thought into the consequences if Kassi is right. she continues to munch on her bread nodding. "It sounds fun." Kassima lowers the level of her soup bowl a bit more as she considers. "I'm in," she says finally. "It sounds interesting. Think we should play here, or go someplace that doesn't have quite as many ears? Either's fine by me." R'val chuckles nodding, "Well, I'm in." R'val chuckles, "I vote for a more private location, and a nice warm one. The Springs, for instance." Aphrael regretfully pushes away her wine glass, wanting to stick to the rules herself. "Hrm, Kassi, you may have a point there. I don't mind, either way. The springs sound good." Asrai finishes off the bread quickly if they are going to change location. "Oh, a good soak while playing sounds like a wonderful idea." R'val untucks his Turnday flask from his belt, winks at Kassima with a grateful grin, and fills it to the brim with Benden Red. "There, now I'm ready." Asrai looks to the wineglass in front of Aph, "Well, the one glass or two won't get you drunk, Aph." Kassima grins at R'val, shaking one finger at him. "Remember the rule, though--you've got t'be sober to play! If'n I can take m'food with me, I'm quite amiable to going to the springs. That makes four votes for it... Suzot, did you want to play?" Suzot looks up, looking hunted. "Me? Oh, I'm not the sort for games," she protests. R'val chuckles, "One flask of wine, I assure you, will not get me drunk, unless I guzzle it. Ready when you all are!" He rises. Asrai stands as well, looking down at Suzot, "Well, we won't force you...but you're more then welcome to join us, Suzot. If for nothing else, a good soak." "Well, y'don't *have* to," Kassi replies. "You're welcome to join us if'n you wish, though." Setting her plates and mug onto a tray, she stands, picking said tray up. "I'm ready, too. Shall we make a go of it?" R'val nods, tucking his flask under his arm, "Let us go!" R'val walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl. Suzot nods. "In that case, if I can soak and watch..." She follows along. K'ti walks in from the bowl. Suzot nods. "In that case, if I can soak and watch..." She follows along. <repose> K'ti stops and watches Suzot start heading, "Soak?" Asrai sees K'ti come in and waves, "Hey aK'ti, wanna go soak and play a game with us? Its called Honesty or Dare." Kassima pauses on her way out, smiling at K'ti. "K'ti! You're just in time; we're headed to the 'Springs for a game of... what was it, Aph? Honesty or Dare? You're welcome to play with us, if'n you'd like." Suzot and the others troop outside, Suzot trailing behind. "K'ti, join us in the springs...There's a game to watch." K'ti chuckles, "Honesty or Dare? Is that the one where ye try t'guess what the other person is seeing or take a dare?" Asrai hmms, "something having to answer a question or take a dare." R'val walks in from the bowl. Aphrael grins slightly. "Well.. that's true Asrai," She answers, picking up her wineglass, along with her discarded jacket and gloves as she starts to follow the others out, smiling to K'ti and waving. "Heya, K'ti!" R'val pokes his head back in, eyebrows raised, "What's the de...hey K'ti. Comin'?" He grins. Devlin walks in from the bowl. Kassima shakes her head, braid shaking. "Nay... I think 'tis where you have to take a dare if'n you're nay willing to answer a question truthfully. Ach, that reminds me--" The greenrider sets down her tray and makes a detour, murmuring something to a red-haired girl who has a rather strong resemblance to Kassi; some might recognize her as her cousin, Simaeva. Said cousin takes Kaylira from the greenrider's sling, and nods, heading towards the Inner Cavern. "I don't want t'risk her getting broiled," the rider explains with a faint smile. Asrai smiles and waves to Devlin as the group stands near the entrance, obviously on their way out. K'ti looks over at the door then nods, "Sure.. but let me grab something to eat while I'm there. A bowl of something should float pretty good. Ain't fun unless I'm in, though." R'val grins at K'ti readily, nodding his approval, "Good! Join the fun with us." Suzot fills her pockets with fruits and brings a skin of fruit juice for herself. Asrai says "Devlin, if your interested we are going to the Springs for a game and a soak."" Kassima grins. "You're in if'n you want t'be in," she assures K'ti, gathering up her tray of half-eaten food again. She joins her friends near the exit, nodding to Devlin on the way. "I'm ready when you lot are, m'friends." Suzot looks up, pockets bulging. "Aye...You're welcome to come too," she offers, though that's been made clear. Asrai starts to head out. Asrai walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl. You walk down the short tunnel and out into the bowl. You walk south. You head in the direction of the shimmering lake, leaving the South Bowl area of the Weyr. You pick your way across the rocks to the steamy hot springs of Benden. Aphrael picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Suzot picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. R'val picks his way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. K'ti picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Aphrael sniffles a little, though doesn't sneeze, surprisingly enough. Tossing down her jacket and gloves, she sets her wineglass carefully aside as the rest of her clothes join the pile before she heads over to one of the springs. Aphrael slides into a hot spring. Kassima sets down her tray of food on the flat top of one rocky outcropping, stripping down to her overly long tunic rather quickly since she's not dressed in riding gear. The clothes get folded and placed behind that same outcropping before she lifts the tray, places it near the pool, and sinks into the waters with a sigh. Suzot whips out of her clothing with the lack of body-shyness found mostly in weyrfolk of many turns, sliding into the springs and sighing at the warmth. Asrai strips out of her clothes and slips into the water. K'ti puts down the bowl only long enough to get out of the riding clothes. She then picks up the bowl and heads into the water, settling her supply of dinner on the water itself. Devlin picks his way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. K'ti slides into a hot spring. Suzot gets back out as she realizes she's forgotten her fruit and juice. Water sloshes as she leaves the spring, fetches the meal, and re-enters, runnertail dipping long into the water despite her haircut. Kassima sighs again, tilting her head back to just enjoy the heat of the water for an instant. "This was a marvelous notion," she opines, once she's straightened and opened her eyes. Glancing towards Aph, she wonders, "How do we start this game of yours?" K'ti balances the bowl on the moving water then snatches out a meatroll. Aphrael places her wineglass on the edge of the spring, sinking down into the water and wetting her hair before resurfacing. With a grin, she answers Kassi, "Well.. firstly we have to figure out who's going in what order.." Benden Weyr> Asrai has visitors, so may be a little slow for a bit. Devlin finds a spot to get rid of his clothes at, then makes his way over to climb into the hot springs. Devlin slides into a hot spring. "Seems reasonable," the greenrider agrees. "Mayhaps you should go first, since 'twas your idea." Aphrael winces at Kassima's words. "Shards, no!" She tries her best to wiggle out of it. "If anything, I should go last.." Why? Who knows. That's just Aphlogic. R'val slips out of his clothing and quickly into the spring with the others, with a lethargic sigh, "MUCH better." R'val slides into a hot spring. Suzot slides into a hot spring. K'ti bites the end of the roll and winks, "it sounds like goin first ain't a very enviable thin.." Asrai slips down until her chin is just touching the water. "Well, I don't even know the rules." Kassima picks up a roll from the plate behind her, nibbling on it before she responds. "Why would that be? If'n you've the most experience at this game, then you should be the one t'show how 'tis played!" K'ti makes room for Su next to her in the pool, trying to keep from sloshing the pasteries. R'val glances at Kassima, nodding in agreemtn. Kassima grins at K'ti, folding one hand behind her head and relaxing back into the spring water. "With Aph, y'never know. She might be saying that just so that we'll *think* going first isn't an enviable thing." Now there's Kassi-logic for you. Aphrael grins ruefully to K'ti. "Not exactly." To Asrai, she tilts her head slightly. "Simple, really. You either get to pick Honesty, or Dare, and everyone else gets to decide what the question, or dare is. And you can't pass," She adds with a chuckle. Wrinkling her nose at Kassi, she sighs lightly. "Oh, /okay/," Answers the bluerider, sounding as if she has the weight of Pern on her shoulders. "I pick.. Honesty, first." Suzot sits down next to K'ti and on the side of Devlin, listening as she nibbles at a plum. Asrai nods, "so, now we come up with a question for you?" R'val hrms at Aphrael thoughtfully, "Do we all decide what to ask, or just one person?" Devlin lounges back in the water and sighs, "This is what the Minecraft lacks." Kassima reflects, "That *seems* simple enough... I confess, though, that I'm dubious about my ability to contribute an idea for a particularly good one." Aphrael takes a gulp from her wineglass, nodding to Asrai. "Yah. Either all of you, or just one. Or whoever thinks up a question first," Suzot mumbles, "Vintnercraft, too." R'val snaps his fingers, "Ah-ha! I have one, Aph." K'ti chortles, "Devlin, just dig deep 'nuff, I'm sure yer'd find water somewhere.." Aphrael uh-ohs under her breath, and chuckles to R'val. "Okay.. ask away." R'val grins at Aphrael, "Have you ever deliberately drank the Water?" R'val adds, "This is just a suggested question, mind you..." Asrai giggles, "that sounds like a good question to me." Devlin laughs, "There's an overabundance of /cold/ water." Kassima grins, eyes twinkling. "Sounds like a fair one to start with, methinks." R'val grins, "Allright then, Aph, that's your question." K'ti chuckles, "Y'd wake up, that's fer certain." A bit of a nod agrees with the question. Aphrael shudders lightly. "/The/ Water? No! The last thing I need right now is spawn." She says, tone faintly amused. R'val chuckles, "SImple as that. Now..you choose the next person, right?" Aphrael grins and rubs her hands together. "Yah. Let's see.. I choose.." Closing her eyes, she waves her arm around, and reopens her eyes again. Her finger's pointing at Devlin, "Dev!" Asrai becomes more relaxed, "This game isn't so hard." Aphrael chuckles to Asrai. "Just wait till we get warmed up." R'val winks at Arsai, "And it's fun. I think it may get worse, mind you." K'ti picks up a meat pastry and munches the crust off it. Devlin tries to not look like a wherry caught in a dragon's glance. Aphrael chuckles to Devlin, "Honesty or Dare?" She asks the miner. Asrai starts to look around a bit wearily. Devlin considers thoughtfully for a moment, making a big production of considering the answer. "For the moment, honesty." K'ti makes a grin as though she's got an idea as she looks his direction. Suzot offers fruits to anyone within reach: plums, redfruits, fuzzfruits, and the like. Aphrael leans back easily, hrming thoughtfully. "Maybe ask something to do with Mehlani.." She absently murmers, a faint grin on her face. K'ti says "I think I know a question to ask.." Devlin arches a single brow, waiting. Aphrael licks her lips and leans forward to take one of the redfruit, smiling thankfully at Suzot as she settles back and grins to K'ti, tilting her head and waiting for the question. Kassima acceps a fuzzfruit from Su with a nod of thanks, biting into it as she cogitates upon a possible inquiry. "Shells, I don't know. Methinks I'd be better at trying to think of dares. What is it, K'ti?" K'ti says "If you were a dragon, and any other single person you'd like could be a dragon, who would that be, and what color dragons would you be?"" Asrai smiles but shakes her head a tSuzot, "Thanks, but so far only dry crackers and this light bread Ofira made for me will stay on my stomach." Kassima nods her approval. "I like that one," she states around a mouthful of fuzzfruit. Aphrael bursts out laughing, and claps her hands together in appreciation of the question. "Nice one, K'ti!" She says, chewing on her fruit and glancing over towards Dev. Asrai grins, leaning forward a bit to hear the answer. Devlin frowns, thoughtfully, idly running his fingers across the surface of the water. "Hm. If I was a dragon..." He shoots a quick, cocky grin, "Bronze, of course." Then, "As for someone else. I think I could see 'Lani as a Blue. A watch-dragon. 'Swhat she does best." M'kla picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. M'kla saunters in, drolling quietly, "Evenin...." Suzot looks up, nibbling at a plum, and waves at M'kla, scooting to one side to make room for the greenrider. K'ti chuckles, "Okay..." A glance over and she waves to M'kla. Kassima arches an eyebrow, but grins faintly as she turns her head to wave up at M'kla. "Heya, Weyrsecond," she greets cheerfully. M'kla strolls over, and settles on the rock beside Su, a hand over her shoulder. Benden Weyr> K'ti says, "I really gotta get out of that habit. I type M'kla, and it always ends up M'klah. :)" M'kla chuckles, "Kassi." Benden Weyr> M'kla grins. Sokay. I'm used to it. Aphrael grins at Devlin, liking the choice of blue by her happy grin. "Alright, you're turn to choose who goes next, Dev." Looking up, she waves a greeting to M'kla, "Evening, Weyrsecond!" Asrai smiles brightly and waves to M'kla as she arrives and takes a seat, "Heya Weyrsecond, Ma'am." Devlin considers the gathering with a sly gaze. Benden Weyr> Asrai is back now, movie stealing guests left :) Devlin gestures to Suzot. "The tall, quiet one." K'ti licks the last of the meat off her fingers. Suzot starts. "Me? Och, I'm not playin'," she protests. Asrai blinks and remembers something, "M'kla, we're playing a game...Honesty or Dare, will you join us? Perhaps Suzot will then too." M'kla lifts a brow, "Me, lass?" R'val grins, waving over at M'kla, "C'mon in, join the fun, M'kla." K'ti says "Oh c'm on, Su. It's not that bad. More silly questions'n annathin troublesome." Aphrael takes a gulp of wine from her glass, somewhat more relaxed now that her turn is over for the moment. "C'mon, Su.. try it?" She asks the winecrafter. Suzot looks up at M'kla, and reluctantly nods. "All right... a Dare." R'val adds his own coaxing with a smile, "Yeah, Suz. C'mon and join the fun.' Asrai smiles, "Oh goody...now, Kassi...you said you were good at coming up with dares.." "Surely can't hurt aught," Kassi opines, grinning. "Though 'tis your choice, a'course. A dare? Let's see... well, what 'twas thinking to suggest was eating a raw fish-tail while we lot watch, but mayhaps 'twould be too much." R'val wrinkles his nose, "Just a bit too much, Kassi..." Suzot looks around. "I don't see any fish." M'kla lifts a brow nearly to her hairline at Kassi's suggestion. One of the greens that is eternally with the Weyrsecond gives a happy *cheep* and vanishes between. Kassima jerks her thumb back towards the Lake. "Catching fish are what fire-lizards are for," she chuckles. "Seriously, though... if'n anyone else can think of something, mayhaps 'twould be better." Asrai closes her eyes for a minute, "Really Kassi, /must/ it deal with food?" Suzot shrugs, offering M'kla one of the fuzzfruits Asrai declined. About three heartbeats later, the small, hideously colored green comes betweening back, a wriggling minnow in her claws. Benden Weyr> Devlin sighs. His net just sucks. Please excuse him, folks. Sorry. :( K'ti rubs at her nose amoment, thinking. "We could... naw, that'd be too odd." "Oh, now there's a good fish!" Kassi exclaims upon sighting the returning 'lizard. "Fairly small... mightn't be too bad. What, K'ti? Little's too odd, I've found--after all, this is Benden." Enough said. Asrai gulps and turns her face away, "I will take your alls word on the fact that Suzot...completes her dare." True to her word, Asrai closes her eyes tightly, even if she is already looking away. Suzot takes the minnow from the oddly-colored green lizard. "The tail, or the whole of it?" she asks. "I should give the head to...ah..." She looks to M'kla for the green's name. Aphrael shudders lightly, chuckling faintly at Asrai's words. Despite her reaction, she can't help but to watch. It's that horrified fasination factor. K'ti pauses a moment then wrinkles up her nose. Soon a little brown 'lizard flicks from between to land on the stones nearby. "She coul' always show us how she'd court a firelizard..." Kassima suggests, "I'd be fine with just the tail, and the fire-lizard could mayhaps have the rest... court a fire-lizard?" The greenrider can't help but blink at K'ti at that. K'ti just raises her eyebrows, "I said it were odd." She tries for innocence. M'kla chuckles, "Envii, lass. That's Envii." Suzot is already swallowing in preparation. She very, very quickly snaps the minnow in half and tosses its top half to the green who'd brought it, swallowing the rest without even chewing. The taste causes her to need a large, healthy sip from her juice-skin. Asrai keeps her eyes tightly shut, "Someone just tell me when its over." Kassima wrinkles her nose at K'ti's feigned innocence. "Either'd be fine by--oh, look! She swallowed it! How'd it taste, Suzot?" she just has to know. Suzot clears her throat several times and announces, "It's over," looking a little pale. "Ah...What do I do now?" M'kla reaches out and snatches the fluttering thing from mid-air, which evences a huge SQUAWK of displeasure. Untill she's plopped on the rider's shoulder, where she clings possessively, to both her pet and the bit of fish. Aphrael takes a deep breath, and grins. "She did it," She informs Asrai. "How she did, I'll never know, but she did. Good going, Su!" K'ti shoo's at Chirrup. "No.. no fish for you." Asrai's eyes flash open, "No! Suzot does /not/ need to go into details, Kassi." she says with some force. R'val chuckles, "Pick someone else to ask, Suz." M'kla laughs, and hugs Suzot to her, "Lass! Ye're near as brave an foolhardy as anything!" Aphrael murmurs faintly, "Let's hope she doesn't bring it back up," After a look at Suzot's pale face. Suzot turns to K'ti. "Honesty or Dare?" she asks, getting the hang of it, and turns pinkish s M'kla hugs her. Must be the heat from the waters. Benden Weyr> M'kla is now officially grossed out IC. She'll have to call Su 'fishface'. Kassima sighs, but holds up her hands in surrender. "All right, all right. 'Twas just curious. You'd just need t'pick who's next in the hotseat, Su--which is nigh literal, given the place." K'ti looks a bit surprised, amid her unsuccessful shoo. She pauses to think then answers, "th'most trouble. Dare. I live a rather borin life." Asrai relaxes as she realises that her stomach will not be subjected to a full blown account. Her eyes and smile go to K'ti, the next victem, err, player. R'val smiles, watching K'ti and Su interestedly at that dare. Suzot turns around. "What'll we have her do?" she asks the assemblage. M'kla just grins, apparently not having any ideas herself. Asrai offers, "Well, Her little one wanted a fish...we could go have him get one...but K'ti would have to kiss it first." "That might do," Kassi nods, still thinking. "Either that, or we could ask her to sing the Minecraft Song for us." Aphrael frowns in thought, tilting her head. "Hrm," she murmers, thoughtfully. She giggles at Asrai's suggestion, "Kiss a fish?" K'ti says "Aee... y'don't wanna kill the game with my voice now, Kassi."" Asrai's nose scrunches up, "I thought this was only suposed to affect the one asked...not the whole group..." Asrai blinks and blushes, "Umm, K'ti..I only ment the ssong, not your singing, honest." K'ti laughs and replies, "I mean m'voice, honestly. Tis a frightening thing." Asrai giggles, relaxing, "I thought the miner's song was /suposed/ to sound horrible?" she giggles some more, "So, any other suggestions?" R'val groans, "Yo he yo, pick pick pick! Yes, it is horrible." Kassima grins at K'ti, and shakes her head. "Ach, now! I doubt your singing could kill the game, m'friend. The song's what's truly terrible. Even if'n 'twere the worst singer on Pern, I'm sure you'd nay set any records for singing it badly--and I somehow doubt that you are." K'ti says "S'that it then? Or kiss the fish?" Benden Weyr> M'kla does warn that she works as an emergency supervisor at a retirement home...prone to odd idles when stuff comes up. R'val chuckles, 'Why on earth do we have a prediliction for fish?" M'kla points at the guilty greenrider, "It be her fault." Suzot clears her throat. "We've done enough with fish," she suggests quietly - and she, of all, ought to know. Aphrael chuckles ruefully, "Aye, why a fish? Why not.. a wherry?" Asrai giggles, "Cuz we're in the water?" R'val grins at Asrai, "True.' Asrai blinks, "Kiss a wherry? Were would we get one?" M'kla points, "In the feedin pens, lass." K'ti says "Possibly 'cuz a wherry woul' as soon as bite my nose off. Y'ever put a finger up t'them?" Aphrael chuckles at Asrai, "Why, from the feeding grounds, of course. I'm sure Jaralth could catch one.." Kassima grins at M'kla, utterly unrepetant. "What? I thought 'twas a fair dare... personally, I want t'hear K'ti sing. But we could always get a wherry from the grounds, mayhaps. Though the sight of us chasing after it would certainly be a spectacle." M'kla chuckles. "Aye...might teach the dragons tae laugh, lassie." Aphrael giggles at Kassi, "Shards, Kass, it's K'ti's dare. Let /her/ chase." Laughing to K'ti, she adds, "I doubt Jaralth would let a wherry hurt you." Asrai blushes, perhaps remembering that most, if not all present are currently unclothed, "Specatacle indeed." she murmers to herself. "Well," she speaks up, "I don't think we'd want to see the wherry when Cygnith is done catching is...yet dead would be a sight...easier and safer to kiss." Lysseth> Jaralth snorts a little then lumbers southward. Suzot's smallish nose wrinkles. Lysseth> Jaralth lumbers south. R'val shudders, "That'd be quite gross." M'kla grins a bit, "Nay worse then K'nan killin em fer his Veyath." Asrai giggles, "Course...we could always just have her pick someone here to kiss." She gets it out, but not without a blush. K'ti stands up then makes a little bow. "Tis up fer ye t'decide. I did say takin th'dare was makin trouble. Yer wish is my command." Lysseth> Prefeth chuffs amusedly, following after the other blue. Lysseth> Prefeth lumbers south. Lysseth> Vidarth is too curious not to follow. Lysseth> Vidarth lumbers south. Asrai giggles. K'ti almost capsizes her foodbowl. She pushes it a little farther away in the water. Lysseth> Torinth decides this is too much to pass up. Lysseth> Torinth takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry her aloft. Lysseth> Cygnith lumbers south. Benden Bowl> Jaralth rumbles, watching a wherry from over the fence. Kassima waves one hand, water dripping from the sleeve of her smoky grey tunic. "Whatever's decided's fine by me. I'd rather like t'see her kiss a wherry, i'truth." Lysseth> You lumber south. Lysseth> In the Feeding Grounds, Torinth lands on a low outcropping of rock, craning to see. Lysseth> Torinth comes here from the direction of the feeding grounds. Lysseth> Prefeth lumbers over, whuffing with amusement as he watches the blue, tailtip twitching slightly. Lysseth> Torinth lands on a low outcropping of rock, craning to see. Really. Aphrael chuckles lightly, nodding to Kassi, "Me too, I think." Asrai blinks and looks over her shoulder towards the feeding grounds, "Why do I have the feeling that the choice has been made without us?" M'kla snorts, "Tha, or Lysseth's risin agwin, wi my Torinth there!" R'val glances outside, "Let's hoep it's the former." he shudders. Lysseth> Jaralth makes a bit of a bugle and hop-flies over the fence. Lysseth> Lysseth settles beside a fence, watching the animals inside with a mixture of curiousity, and mild hunger. Especially a little wherry that looks just about the right size for a snack. Asrai giggles, "K'ti..I think your Jaralth has decided that he'd like to see you kiss a wherry as well." Lysseth> Cygnith rumbles in amusement, but is still well sated from his last meal. K'ti closes her eyes and wrinkles up her nose, "He heard it... aaach. An he's amused." R'val bursts out laughing, "Oh shards, but this is going to be a sight." Kassima throws back her head, laughing. "Oh, Lysseth's nay proddy! Nay unless she's nay been letting *me* know about it, which has unfortunately never been the case! This I absolutely can't *wait* t'see. Lysseth thinks 'tis all very amusing." Lysseth> Torinth flicks her wings back, clinging to the outcropping and hanging well over the edge, watching the blue with curiosity. Aphrael quirks a grin, amusement flooding her voice, "Seems this is quite the spectacle. Pref says a whole lot of dragons have gathered to watch." Asrai grins, "Well, everything amuses Cygnith...I just hope he doesn't get any ideas...he gets enough of them as it is." M'kla chuckles in amusement. Lysseth> Jaralth launches into a glide and on passing over the flock once, sweeps down on one of the scattering flock to land one. Of course, you know, he makes sure it's the ugliest one he could see, not that wherries aren't. Lysseth> Cygnith *BUGLES* his congratulations on a victem well caught. Benden Weyr> M'kla says, "Curiosity is sorta like ... oh ... mono in Dragons ;) Just not something you want your beast to get." Benden Weyr> R'val says, "Ayup :)" Suzot finishes her plum at last, tossing the pit far away to grow next year. Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "And it always seems to spread?" Lysseth> Jaralth swoops back towards the fence and lands on the other side. He then lumbers his way over towards the lake. M'kla snuggles Suzot to her side, chuckling in amusement at whatever the dragons are making a fuss over. Lysseth> Prefeth warbles happily to Jaralth, following after the blue dragon. He'd not want to miss /this/. Asrai giggles, "Well, here they come." Lysseth> Jaralth makes a muffled wurble between the feathers of a droopy wherry on his way back. Amused, yes he is. Suzot rises from the pool, sloshing steaming-hot water all around despite her attempts to be neat about it, and then sits on the side near M'kla to snuggle wetly to the fully-clothed rider. Lysseth> You lumber in the direction of the shimmering lake, leaving the South Bowl area of the Weyr. K'ti steadies the bowl with a hand. Asrai doesn't seem to notice any splashing, her eyes on the approaching dragon party. "Just look what you've started now, sie," Kassi can't resist teasing Aphrael. Cygnith climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Jaralth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Torinth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Vidarth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. K'ti says "oooh, ye love me lug, don'tche." Vidarth slides into the dragon pool. Prefeth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Torinth flutters in, and lands delicately on the highest outcropping, craning her head around to watch the show. Vidarth clumps along on the ground somewhat clumsily on his spindly legs, until he is near the dragon pool, into which he immediately slips, heaving an enormous draconic sigh of pleasure. Asrai continues to giggle, especially when she sees what it is that Jaralth carries with him. "Oh look, he got one!" Lysseth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Prefeth chuffs amusedly to Cygnith, settling down near the other blue as he watches with swirling blue-green eyes. Suzot turns to see Torinth's dainty elegance. M'kla fehs quietly, "That be one ugly wherry, K'ti! I think he got a sport." Jaralth looks to see that all his mates have made it then lowers the now dangly dragon-spit laden wherry to the ground in a mess of grey feathers and grass. Cygnith settles once Prefeth has joined him, warbling with amusement at his greatest source of pleasure...humans. K'ti says "y'know... M'kla, y'might just be right." Aphrael sits up slightly in the water, turning to watch the dragons as they arrive, and most especially Jaralth. "Yaaa, but I'm glad /I/ didn't have to do that dare." She says with a shudder. Benden Weyr> Asrai pictures Jaralth as a big Golden Retrievor or Lab type dragon. ;) Lysseth rumblechuckles as she settles beside the other dragons, eyes fastened on the hideous example of wherrydom that Jaralth has just delivered. Benden Weyr> R'val LOL! :) Vidarth tilts his wedge-shaped head towards the goings on in the Springs, eyes whirling curiously. R'val chuckles, "That certainly is one hideous wherry." The color-pools of Torinth's huge eyes whirl brightly, to focus in on the events from above. Benden Weyr> K'ti blinks then giggles... Benden Weyr> Aphrael laughs! "Go and fetch the wherry boy! Good dragon!" Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "It was mainly the dragon spit laden wherry line that gave me the visual ;)" Asrai ewwws, "He must have found the ugliest one there was, K'ti." she says oh so helpfully. SuzotIDLE idles. Just a few minutes. K'ti wrinkles her nose. "An I thought th'fish were kinda bad.... " She wades out towards the.. um... gift. "Y'thought o'me when y'picked this one up, eh?" M'kla chuckles, valliantly trying to hide it behind her hand. Benden Weyr> R'val pictures Jaralth as a pointer dog, one of those hunting spaniels that points. Hee hee. Benden Weyr> K'ti says, "This things have beaks? I never actually considered it before..." Benden Weyr> M'kla nods. Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "Yep, it has a beak :)" Benden Weyr> K'ti actuallies.. he heard me think 'ugh' so he just *HAD* to do it. Asrai giggles some more, "you really gonna kiss it, K'ti??" Benden Weyr> M'kla says, "Imagine a huge fourlegged osterich-turkey-kiwi cross ;)" Aphrael hides a giggle behind a cough, watching K'ti as she taps her wineglass. Benden Weyr> Asrai snugs a Lysbabe! Kassima can't hide her laughter, though she gives it a gallant effort. "Kiss it on the beak, K'ti?" she suggests. "But mayhaps you should wash it off first...." Benden Weyr> M'kla says, "Adonith's missing the dragon prank of the turn!" K'ti reaches down and finally just kneels down to pull the head up. "Yon eyes.. what an ugly color o'brown.. an my, yer feathers are such a mess. I might kiss ye, but I think ye'd make even an ugly stew." She pulls the head a bit farther then kisses it square on the beak. Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "Course, she can't hear us. :(" Benden Weyr> M'kla sniffles. Benden Weyr> Kindre snuggybughugs 'Lys!!!!!!!!! M'kla actually.../giggles/. Benden Weyr> Kindre dohs and really should read afore she types :b Aphrael finally bursts into giggles, shivering slightly at K'ti's kiss. "Ewwww!" She says expressively, and that just about sums it up. Asrai bursts out into a fit of giggles, "she did it, she did it, she kissed it!" K'ti wades back into the water and grins, "okay, who wants a kiss next?" R'val claps resoundingly, howling with laugther as he rocks back and forth in the pool, "Way to go, K'ti!" Asrai shakes her head emphatically, "Oh no!" M'kla hugs onto Suzot, "Nay! I've get fish-lips here!" Her tone is too teasing to be taken seriously. Aphrael makes a face, backing slightly away from K'ti.. well, as much as she can in the water. "I think I'll pass." Kassima shudders, ducking a bit further under the water in hopes that she won't be seen. "Nay I, K'ti. I'm nay as valiant as you--especially when it comes t'kissing things as ugly as that wherry!" R'val grins, "Ordinarily, K'ti, in an instant, but not after you've kissed that hideous thing." Prefeth swings his head around to peer at the wherry, now the the fuss is over. He lumbers closer, sniffing experimentally at it, eyes whirling slow with curiously, and more than a little confusion. Dragon> Jaralth bespoke Vidarth, Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, and Cygnith with << Think it tastes any better kissed by Rider? Would you care for dinner, Lysseth? >> Dragon> Vidarth bespoke Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, Cygnith, and Jaralth with << Better for dinner than for kissing your rider, Jaralth. >> Lysseth> Vidarth, Prefeth, Torinth, Cygnith, and Jaralth sense that Lysseth eyes the wherry somewhat askance. << I'd not mind a snack, but *that* doesn't even look like food. >> Suzot's jaw gradually rises to its usual height (aided by M'kla's insistence on her 'fishlippedness'). "Well, er," she hems and haws. K'ti says "aww... well, then, Honesty or Dare, R'val?" R'val strokes his chin, "Well, considering the nature of the dares in here...dare." Dragon> Vidarth, Lysseth, Torinth, Cygnith, and Jaralth sense that Prefeth's thoughts are on the wherry, as he asks, curiously, << Why didn't Jaralth's rider eat it, herself? >> K'ti ducks down in the water and washes her lips off. She *was* eating dinner, after all. Dragon> Cygnith bespoke Vidarth, Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, and Jaralth with << I agree with Lysseth, I think it is too ugly to eat. They only asked her to kiss it, but I though humans only liked kissing other humans.>> A picture is sent of Asrai kissing K'nan in rather...limited clothing. >> Dragon> Vidarth bespoke Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, Cygnith, and Jaralth with << It's true, they only like kissing other humans. My rider says so. >> Asrai blinks, turning redeer then any amount of hot water could make an excuse for, "Cygnith!" she calls out in shock, disbelief an utter horror. Dragon> Cygnith bespoke Vidarth, Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, and Jaralth with << Ooops, I was not suposed to say that. >> R'val glances at Cygnith, then at Asrai, and smothers a laugh, clapping a hand over his mouth. Aphrael peers over her shoulder at Prefeth, snorting faintly before she asks, "So, what dare for R'val?" Dragon> Vidarth, Prefeth, Lysseth, Torinth, and Jaralth sense that Cygnith not supprisingly doesn't seem to repentant, never having understood why his lifemate gets *embarressed* so easily. Kassima suggests to R'val, "Why don't you skin yon wherry and make a hat out of its hide, then dance around the Spring singing that Minecraft Song?" She's not going to give up on hearing someone sing that, apparently. It takes a few tries for Asrai to get some of her composure back. "Umm, Kassi, that may take too long." R'val eyes Kassima, "I am /not/ gonna skin a wherry and make a hat out of it's hide." He blinks, "For that matter, I doubt that I /could/." Kassima hrms. "If'n I skinned it, would you drape the skin atop your head, dance, and all?" R'val points out, "Y'know, Asrai's right. That would take far too long, Kassi." K'ti chuckles and shakes her head, "that'd b'gittin messy even fer the hotsprings, Kassi. It's not been properly hung." Aphrael peers over towards the wherry. "Well.. it's relatively small.. why bother skinning it before dancing around with it?" R'val blinks, "I /really/ doubt it would cooperate." K'ti says "Teach th'wherry how to waltz?" Asrai giggles, "He could get out and do one of those fancy dances with it." "Want t'bet? I can skin a wherry rather quickly if'n I'm nay being too delicate about it... oh," Kassi exclaims, "that's a fine idea, Aph! Dance with it! He can dance with it--can't you, R'val?" R'val grumbles, "That's a live wherry! It'd claw my eyes out if I got that close." K'ti says "Th'wherry's so ugly he can't tell that it's dead!" Asrai giggles, "doesn't look too alive to me." Benden Weyr> Aphrael sorta assumed the wherry was.. unconcious? After being clawed by a dragon? R'val squints< "Tis dead?" he glances over at it, and shudders, "I don't wanna touch a dead wherry. Can we move /away/ from the wherry-oriented dares, hmm?" Benden Weyr> R'val says, "A reasonable assumption :)" K'ti says "betcha he coudln't court th'firelizard, ne?" Kassima replies sweetly to R'val, "Nay. I think we should make him dance with it, I really do." Asrai nods after a moment, "Yeah, I'm for that...while we're at it...why don't we get rid of the, umm, carcus." She then comes up with an idea, "Hey, how bout, r'val has to come up with some poetry for K'ti or something...she she picked him?" An emphatic warble from Prefeth, and Aph supplies, "It's not dead. Yet. Go on, Uri! You can't refuse a dare." R'val wrinkles his nose, "Kassi, I don't wanna touch a dead herdbeast." R'val sighs, "But..but..it's too heavy!" Suzot sighs. "Och, let'im court the firelizard." M'kla giggles a bit. R'val groans, "You people and your animal fetishes.' Aphrael snorts lightly. "You're a dragonrider. You've tossed firestone.. how heavy can a wherry be?" Kassima points out with ruthless Kassilogic, "You've asked me t'dance once or twice, and trust me, that wherry can't possibly be a worse partner than I'd have been." There's little denying that.... Asrai giggles, "i think he should court the firelizard too...or K'ti. how would you court K'ti?" R'val snorts loudly, "Kassi, you are a reasonably attractive woman with two legs, no feathers, and no beak. Yes, I can shardin' well deny it." K'ti says "an y've had t'chop plenty o'wherries fer when yer own dragon grew up. Yer jus not chopping it now." M'kla grins brightly at Suzot, and then kisses her aforementioned fishlips. R'val grumbles, "But they were all DEAD at the time. That one's only unconscious! And if it were dead, it'd be bleedin' and I'd get all dirty!" "Reasonably? Hrmph," Kassi mutters, though not without a grin. "Thanks ever so much, R'val. What I meant was, at least the wherry can't break your toes." Asrai sighs as everyone seems bent on using the wherry somehow. "Please, for the sake of my stomach, can we get rid of the wherry? Please?" R'val chuckles, "Can't it? If I dropped it on my feet it might. I'd wager it weighs more than you do." R'val nods, "I'm all for getting rid of it. It really is...ick. Gros. I don't wanna touch it." He pouts, "PLEASE think up another dare? It's GROSS, that bloody wherry is." K'ti looks upwards then shakes her head, "Jaralth's decided he wants dinner and wants t'know if he can eat it now.. not that I'd wanna." Suzot makes a large show of being unaffected by the kiss from M'kla, but of course it doesn't last. She blushes to the roots of her toes, which dangle into the pool from the side. M'kla chuckles as she lets Su go, "I dan't want it, lass. Let the dragons et it." Aphrael glances at Asrai, and suggests, "Well.. what about if R'val's dare /is/ to get rid of the wherry.. with a bit of dancing?" She seems to like that idea. Kassima folds her arms, looking stubborn. "I want him t'dance with the wherry. But 'tis up t'the majority, I'd reckon." R'val blinks at Aphrael, "How on Pern would I do that? Dance it into oblivion?" Asrai makes a point of looking to the side, "whatever, just please...please get rid of it." Kassima calls over, "How about dancing it into the Lake?" R'val blinks, "Why put it in the lake, when Jaralth wants it?" K'ti says "coul' be worse, R'val, y'could be kissin' it as well." Kassima hmmmmms, brow furrowing as she ponders. "True... okay, why don't you dance it around Jaralth once, then let him have it?" Asrai shakes her head, "Kassi, please, just pick something different and let the dragon have the wherry." she sounds almost pleading now. R'val frowns at Kassima, "Because I find the idea of dancing with a smelly, revolting, half-dead wherry to be disgusting. I won't do anything surrounding it, dare or no. So, let the dragon have it and think of something a bit less..disgusting, and more enjoyably embarassing." He smiles wryly, "Wherries are just not my thing. Filthy birds.' Jaralth rumbles and just finally doesn't listen. He scoops the wherry into his mouth and lumbers off, not knowing what the fuss is about. Asrai glances back and sighs with relief as the thing is finally gone. K'ti says "he decided he didn't want t'be waitin. So.. how about a rendition of the Miner's song?" R'val chuckles, "Well, that solves that." He blinks at K'ti, "The miner's song? Hmm. I only know a few verses. Couldja whisper it?" K'ti says "Th'miner's song... standing atop that rock over there, at the'top of yer voice?" R'val makes a face, "Aww, shards, I have a horrible singing voice. But yeah, that I"ll do...>" Kassima shrugs, watching Jaralth. "Looks as though he settled the issue anyway." She lets herself sink further under the water, relaxing now that the excitement of having a dead wherry around has passed. Suzot seems a little happier as the dead wherry is put down the throat of a dragon. K'ti says "Anyone?" Benden Weyr> Kindre has Catz for her 'puter now...it is just too cute when I idle more than two minutes and this iddle kitten starts meowing for me ;) Aphrael chuckles lightly and shrugs. "Sure, sounds okay," She seems slightly disappoined not to make R'val dance with a wherry. Benden Weyr> K'ti says, "Well all, it's been fun, including the wherry, but I've gotta to get going.. awww. I've got that too, Kindre :)" Benden Weyr> R'val erks as Pern locks up completely. Asrai smiles, "Ok, the miner song, top of his lungs from the rock...but I don't know any of the words. So someone should tell him the words...or he could just make them up." Benden Weyr> Kassima awwws and snugs Miss K'ti. Thanks for the wherriness! :) Benden Weyr> Kindre supersnugsa K'ti :) K'ti shrugs, "I don't know th'words either, except the Yo He Ho Pick, Pick, Pick part. Benden Weyr> Asrai snugglies a K'ti :) Benden Weyr> Aphrael snugsnugs K'ti! Later! Asrai nods, "Then...you have to make up the words, R'val..two verses should be enough." Benden Weyr> K'ti will sorta still be icly here for the evenin folks :) Just the player has to get out of work... bye! *HUGS* "I only know about as much of it as anyone knows," Kassi says, wiping bangs out of her eyes. "And that's the first four lines or so. Yo he ho, pick pick pick, I hit at the walls with m'sharp-pointed stick. I dig out gems and gold, just like a dream--oh, I'm a miner bold! Or so I like t'seem." She recites this rather than singing it, thank Faranth. Benden Weyr> R'val SNUGS K'ti. Take care Aphrael glances over towards Asrai, shooting the bluerider a faint smile before she raises her voice, "So, Uri? Go and sing!" Asrai nods, "that will be enough,go sing, R'val." she says this with a grins. Asrai returns Aph's smile, hers warm, if a bit nervous. R'val leaps to his feet, and moves to the nearest, tallest rock. He stands tall and proud, and sucks in a great chestful of air, screaming out in a rather bad singing voice.... Yo he yo, pick pick pick I hit at the walls with my sharp-pointed stick! I dig out gems and gold, just like a dream, Oh, I'm a miner bold! (or that's how I like to seem!) Kassima winces, covering her ears as the bluerider begins. "Enough! Enough!" she finally yells, unable to take it anymore. R'val slips back into the pool. He hadn't bothered to dress, of course. Asrai grins, though she tries not to stare at R'val's...exposed body. When the song finishes she claps in earnest. Suzot cringes at the sqwawking, burying her face against M'kla's shoulder. Aphrael shivers slightly, muttering, "Shards, but that song makes me.. shiver." R'val grins sheepishly, "A miner once told me if you weren't singing off key and shrieking, you weren't doing it properly." Asrai looks up now that R'val is back on the water. "Well, I didn't think it sounded as bad as all that." she looks around the gathering, "so...who's next?" M'kla mutters something crankily about her eldest sons' father. R'val grins, "I pick....M'kla." Asrai grins, "Honesty or Dare, M'kla?" M'kla rumbles in amusement, "Honesty, lad." Kassima immediately perks up, and grins. "I suggest that we ask her what she puts in her klah," she tells the others. Aphrael blinks, and laughs. "What, and reveal the secret of her klah? Wouldn't that scare people.. us.. into never drinking it again?" She asks, half jokingly. R'val grins, "Hrm. Allright then. ANy ideas, gang?" Asrai giggles, "Most stay away from it as it is..." R'val hrms, "That would be a good question! I vote for it>" Asrai nods after a moment, "Oh, alright...I see nothing wrong with it." M'kla chuckles a bit, and just shakes her head. Benden Weyr> Asrai notes for the record that these honestry question for the most part have been extremely tame. "If'n 'tis really that bad, Aph, should you be drinking it anyway?" Kassi quips drolly. "I vote for it, too." M'kla says "I dan't rightly know, lasses, lad. All I be puttin in it is klahbark that I cured meself." M'kla says "Mix it half mine, half Ofira's weak klahbark, an it bae /just/ right." Asrai blinks, "Umm, how exactly do you cure it? R'val blinks,' Hmm. Bit of an anti-climax." M'kla winks, "That be another question, Asrai." Suzot speaks up. "Don't ask her that!" Spineth climbs around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Kassima asks curiously, and a bit incredulously, "Nay agenothree? Nay firestone dust? Nay blood of dead animals? Nay dead Thread?" M'kla looks at Kassima levelly, "I didnae say what I used tae CURE it with, lass." M'kla winks. R'val grins, waving up to Spineth and her rider, "ursa, come join the fun!" Kassima ahs, and beams brightly. "There's still hope of my winning that bet with K'rick, then!" she enthuses, taking a moment to salute Ursa. "Evening, Wingleader." Asrai blinks, "Oh...ok." she answers M'kla, looking at her wearily. then smiles up at Ursa, "Heya Ursa...come play this neat game!" Atop Spineth, Ursa waves from atop, though she frowns at R'val's invitation. "Fun?" she asks, before she slides down. "Should I leave, right now?" Ursa climbs carefully down with the assistance of Spineth's extended forelimb. R'val laughs, "No, you shouldn't. WE're playing Honesty or Dare, and you should join us." he winks Asrai tilts her head, looking rather strangely at Ursa, "Why would you leave if we were having fun?" Asrai nods in agreement with R'val, "Yeah, come play!" Ursa finds herself leaning against her dragon, instead of hurrying to disrobe and plunge in. "Cause when you folks say, "fun" like that, I know I should be frightened," she drawls. "P'raps I'll watch a bit." Asrai giggles and nods, then looks to M'kla, "So, who do you choose, M'kla?" Aphrael yawns sleepily, rubbing at her eyes as she smiles up at Ursa in greetings from in the springs. Asrai scoots up a bit, the water just lapping over her chest...still enough covered to be decent. "M'kla?" she asks again. Ursa continues to lean against her dragon, but the lure of the water is too much, so she undressees and slides in slower... just to show she's still distancing herself from whatever's just too much fun in there. Benden Weyr> Asrai hands out klah to all the people at the hot springs to wake them up :) "This is actually a milder form of fun," Kassi quips, toying with her last roll for a moment before she puts the poor thing out of its misery. "Aside from the dead wherry, there's nay been *too* much oddity...." M'kla lifts a brow ever so slightly, "Aye? I'm nae doin nothing tomfoolery." Suzot scoots closer to M'kla; since Devlin and K'ti have left, there's plenty of room on either side of the pair. She mutters to M'kla, "M'kla...I... rose..." R'val chuckles, "Didn't she answer her question? If she did, it's over for her, no?" Kassima answers R'val with, "Aside from choosing who goes next, aye." M'kla chuckles softly, turning to nuzzle Su by way of comment. Asrai smiles and nods, "I thought that it was then M'kla's turn to pick someone to go next. R'val nods, "I think it is. M'kla?" M'kla ohs, and looks around. Benden Weyr> Aphrael Zzzzzzz. M'kla says "Be Ursa. Honesty er Dare." Benden Weyr> Asrai slips Aph's finger in warm water while she sleeps ;) Benden Weyr> R'val aigh : Asrai giggles, "Ok Ursa, you get to pick wether you want to answer a question we come up with...or complete a dare." M'kla chuckles softly, turning her attention back to Ursa as she pets Suzot's thick hair. Benden Weyr> Aphrael shows Asrai a picture of some sort food to try and make her nauseous. All while asleep, of course. ;) Benden Weyr> Kassima .o0(Whimry sandwiches, Aph? ;) Ursa's head snaps up. "Whoa," she protests, with a half grin. "I thought I was just watching." Benden Weyr> Asrai heees. M'kla chuckles a bit, "Nay, no jest watchin...they hauled me in tae play too." Ch'auncy, rider of green Gardinerth, says, "I just like to watch." Asrai smiles brightly, "Aww, play with us Ursa, its fun." Benden Weyr> Kindre mmmmmmmmmmms....Whimry sandwiches...I read a log of that just the other day...or something referring to 'em ;) M'kla goes to eye the greenrider for a moment. "If /I/ get dragged intae the madness, everbody do." Ursa laughs, a deep, low, rumbling laughter. "It's not fair. I haven't seen the rest of ya'll's turns." But she shrugs, saying gamely, "Now, what do I do?" Benden Weyr> Aphrael says, "What else, Kassi? :)" M'kla says "Choose ye, if ye wanna tell us th' truth, or if ye wanna have tae do some tomfool dare." Benden Weyr> L'nay waves. Benden Weyr> M'kla faints. Kassima gives Ch'auncy an odd look, not certain that she recognizes him, before answering Ursa. "You say whether you want Honesty, or Dare. If'n y'choose honesty, you have t'tell us the truth about any question we ask; if'n the other... aye, as M'kla says." Benden Weyr> Kindre hugga L'nay! :) Benden Weyr> L'nay makes a tally mark on a sheet of paper. One down... ;) Asrai grins, "you just choose Honesty or Dare, we do the rest...sorta. we either come up with a question to ask...or something silly for you to do. Like R'val...he had to go stand on that rock and sing a phrase of the miner's song." Benden Weyr> L'nay snuggaKindre. :) M'kla snorts, "K'ti, she kissed a wherry." R'val grins at Asrai, "I sang the whole song, actually." M'kla says "An an ugly one too." Kassima adds, "And R'val was *supposed* to dance with that wherry. But he refused." Benden Weyr> Kindre doesn't faint for Brownriders...she merely continues her Vendetta Of The Mark ;) Ursa peers at the folks suspiciously. "I dunno if I like this," she drawls. "I'd probably go with honesty," she concludes eventually. Benden Weyr> L'nay heh. Asrai shakes her head, "Kassi, there was no wherry to dance with Jaralth ate it." Benden Weyr> Kassima dittos Kin, appending, 'and threatens to do the women of Pern a favor' to that. ;) Benden Weyr> Kindre hee's Kassi!! ;) Asrai grins, "I have a question then...if no one else does. "Honesty, honesty," Kassi muses, tapping her chin as she sometimes does when contemplating an important matter. "But what question to ask? Oh, you've one, Asrai?" Benden Weyr> Kindre . o O ( Brownrider gumbo? ) Asrai nods, "If its alright with everyone else." Ursa's arms cross over her chest. She's enough out of the water that this suspicious gesture is visible. She's obviously still not entirely convinced about this. Benden Weyr> Asrai mmm, "gumbo." Benden Weyr> L'nay hopes such a fate is not planned for him? Aphrael chuckles softly, and murmers faintly "Go ahead Asrai. I've nay idea what to ask." Asrai smiles over at the Brownrider, its a friendly smile. "Ursa, when did you know that you first had...special feelings for Emlyn?" the way her eyes sparkle, you might guess that she has her own guess for this, Kassima suggests, "Let's hear it; if'n we know the option, 'twill like as nay be easier to decide." Benden Weyr> T'ren lulls the bounty hunter as he surreptitiously unholsters his blaster, "Listen, but this time I've got the money--tell Jabba I've got the money." Benden Weyr> Kindre simply mwuhahahahahaha's ;) Benden Weyr> Kassima nahs, L'nay. You've not done anything revenge-worthy yet. :) Benden Weyr> L'nay smirks. Benden Weyr> Kindre darns ;) Benden Weyr> T'ren gives Kindre, "Hey, your Highnessness." R'val grins at that, "Ah. Interesting question, Asrai! M'kla chuckles and nods, "Aye...definately." Benden Weyr> Kindre hugsa T'ren muchly :) Gah I love that ;) Kassima nods, leaning back again against her rock. "Sounds t'be a good question," she observes. Benden Weyr> T'ren ooohs and is @hug_OK Benden Weyr> Asrai POUNCEHUGS a T'ren :) Benden Weyr> T'ren ooofs :) Heya AsraiBabe :) Benden Weyr> Asrai grins. Ursa leans back, sinking a little into the water. "Well," she drawls, dragging out the word slowly as she thinks, formulating an answer, "I'd say..." and she looks around the circle, hesitating, not entirely convinced she's going to spill intimate details of her private life. Benden Weyr> T'ren says, "Anything exciting rp wise? I'm about to crash. Gotta get up in the middle of the night tonight." Asrai smiles reasuringly, "Its just a game amoung friends, Ursa. And you both are already weyrmated...so what harm could there be in knowing when it was you knew you liked her?" Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "We're playing an IC game of Honesty or Dare by the Hot Springs :) :)" Benden Weyr> T'ren chuckles, "I hate playing that game IRL. I'm foolhardy enough to take nearly any dare, and have led an intereting enough life such as to not wish to disclose via honesty." Benden Weyr> R'val has never played it RL. Surprise. Benden Weyr> Asrai got in trouble playing 'I Never' on etime...but never Trueth or Dare :) Benden Weyr> Aphrael has played it RL :) Benden Weyr> Aphrael says, "Not for a long time, though." M'kla idly strokes Suzot's hair as she watches Ursa, smiling a bit. Ursa's eyes have narrowed to suspicious slits, but she nods once and continues, "I'd say it became obvious this was not a passing thing about when the eggs were getting rather hard, and we all knew the hatching would be any day now..." she pauses, then continues. "It came down to the forcible realization that in a few days, she'd either be packing off and going to the beastcraft hall, or would be confined to the barracks for a turn and a half, near by but untouchable, and neither prospect was acceptable to me." She frowns, then shrugs, "But what can you do?" Benden Weyr> T'ren also hates Truth or Dare b/c it almost inevitably devolves into a simple game of dare to do something inane or disclosue who you've slept with. Talk about a potential channel of indiscretion... Suzot leans against M'kla, almost relaxed; for her, that's a major change. Benden Weyr> Kindre comes back from grabbing a beer and hee's...gah, that was like The Game for slumber parties when I was younger...and during college :) M'kla says quietly, "Wait, an hope what happens is fer the best, lass." She pulls Suzot that much closer...and then into her lap. Benden Weyr> T'ren ayeps to Kindre. Of course, in a small college everyone already knows. Suzot looks down at her bare knees and smiles, pleased and quiet. Asrai smiles and nods, "Not much. I'm sure a realisation like that would definitely be pushed my that situation. Now...you get to pick who goes next. Then everyone else comes up with either the question or dare." R'val nods slowly, "I see how that would force you two to..talk about it." Benden Weyr> R'val grins. For me, Kindre, it was I Never. Benden Weyr> Kindre says, "for us it was "Drink if you have...."" Kassima nods slowly as she listens, expression thoughtful. "Makes sense," is all she says. "And aye... methinks that M'kla may have the right of it. Nay that I'd be one t'be knowing, but it sounds right." Benden Weyr> T'ren toasts Kindre, "Saving Grace." <glugglugglug> Benden Weyr> Kindre just laughs....hee :) Ursa nods succintly to M'kla. "Yeah, s'what we had to do. Shards, I swear she spent twice as long in the barracks as I did." She shrugs again, but when Asrai says what she does next, she nods again. "Since I have no idea who's gone yet, I'll just pick some one." She glances around. Her gaze falls on Asrai, since she did the questioning. "Asrai,' she says with tones of conviction. Benden Weyr> T'ren yawns and falls madly in bed. Gotta get up at 4:45 AM. Ciao... Asrai blinks and meeps softly, looking around at the croud. "Ummm, honesty ...I think." Benden Weyr> Asrai acks and tucks T'ren in, "sleep well sailor dude." :) M'kla snorts a bit, and pokes at Suzot's shoulder a bit, "Aye, ladylove, there be people here, an they dan't CARE if I sit aboot with a pretty young woman on m'lap." She sticks her tongue out in tease. Benden Weyr> Kindre has to get up a 5am herself...EST...ack. Night T'ren! Suzot turns towards M'kla, effectively disguising whatever color she turns. Aphrael sinks a bit further into the springs, almost, but not entirely unlike-snoring. Benden Weyr> Asrai decides that she worships the evilness that is M'kla. :) Kassima nudges Aph with her foot, to stop the almost, but not entirely unlike-snoring. "Anyone have a good question?" the greenrider wonders. "I'm at a loss for one, m'self. If'n I tried to think of one, 'twould likely be something silly." Benden Weyr> R'val gotta get up at 8 AM EDT. I'm nowhere near done yet. :) M'kla chuckles quietly, tickling at Suzot's bare skin. If the girl's changing colors, she doesn't seem to notice. Aphrael jerks upright at the nudge, now entirely awake. "Question?" She asks, confused. Asrai looks a bit weary, but tries to hide it by playing with the surface of the water. Kassima jerks her thumb towards Asrai. "She chose honesty," she explains. R'val Hrms thoughtfully, "A question...." M'kla says "What will ye name the babe, lass?" M'kla grins brightly. R'val laughs, "M'kla, you are nothing if not single-minded!" Suzot speaks up. "Aye, that she is." Aphrael ohs understanding to Kassi. "Babes, you mean," She corrects M'kla, with a wink. M'kla flashes R'val a grin, "Aye, I am." M'kla says "I'm makin up fer not being male an able tae have spawn in all the weyrs." M'kla teases rather obviously, by her tone. Asrai blushes, but looks around, then blinks, "Now Aoh, I really don't think I'm going to have more then one. The Water's potency only gets you pregnant...nothing more." M'kla chuckles some, "Aye...but what will ye name the one?" Ursa frowns at Aphrael's comment. "Babes?" she asks, turning her frown on Asrai. Aphrael snorts amusedly to Asrai's words, absently flicking at the surface of the water, "Of course," She agrees placidly. Kassima can't help but laugh at that, and flashes M'kla a grin before rolling her eyes at Asrai. "You'll see!" she promises, ever-so-forbodingly. "But *presuming* that you've only the one--which you won't--well, M'kla's question's as good as any." Asrai looks to Ursa, still rather red. "i was drinking the Water today...its really not all that bad, not much of a taste but does help with thirst. Anyway, Kassi seems to think that I will now hove triplets or something." "Keep on drinking it," Kassi mutters under her breath, amused, "and you'll wind up with quints." Asrai swallows, "Well, I was just playing around with names the other day...since people seemed so interested. I came up with just a couple. There's Kasrai and Kasnan, which M'ka suggested, Raikan, Karai, Karain, Akair, Aran, amd Arkain..alright, perhaps I came up with more then a couple." R'val blinks, "Shards, but that's a lot of choices." M'kla chuckles and opines, "I like Kasrai and Kasnan best o all." M'kla grins, "But...if ye did have more then one, Kasnan, Kasran, an Kasrai would make a sweet triple." "Karai would be good for a lass," Kassi observes, smiling. "Raikan, Karain, and Aran are all good names for lads. Which is nay t'say that I don't like M'kla's suggestions, too. But you'll need more female names, just in case all three of them are girl-babes." Ursa just shakes her head at the mention of triplets again. She'snow in the water up to her neck, so her head shaking is all that's visible above water. M'kla chuckles, "Kasrai, Kasra, an Kana, ocourse!" M'kla chuckles at Kassima, "Or did ye lose yer fondness fer 'k' soundin names?" M'kla winks. Asrai blushes, "Well, I was just playing around with them. I heard someone say that its good to take parts of each parent's name. Kassima hrms, "But Kana would nay pay any respects to the Mum's name--oh, I like K names perfectly! 'Twould think Kasrai, Karai, and Kaira would be a good tripartite name-selection, m'self." She grins, shaking her head at the very notion of having lost her taste for Ks. M'kla nods, "Aye. S'so we know who the ma and da are, lass." Asrai coughs, trying to change the subject, "alright..I umm, think Kassi is next." Kassima mock-grimaces. "Ach, and I thought 'twas going to escape... well, to forestall having to dance with dead wherries, methinks 'twill choose honesty. I've nay any deep, dark secrets, so I've naught to fear from a question." R'val chuckles, "Time for the next..oh, Kassi, hmm?" Asrai hmms and tries to think of a good question. "How about....if there was one person in all of Pern you'd most like to win Lysseth's next flight...who would it be and why?" Benden Weyr> Kassima says, "Asrai, you're Evil." Aphrael coughs faintly and giggles at Asrai's question. "I like that one." Benden Weyr> Suzot woohoos. Ursa's lips curl up in a bit of a grin. Definately a good question. Benden Weyr> Asrai smiles ever so sweetly. M'kla snorts in derision, "Me, ocourse!" She grins brightly, amused. Kassima snorts, amused. "Simple enough. There's nay *person* I'd like t'have win Lysseth's flight. Lyss doesn't care to mate with humans, and though the idea of one chasing her makes for an interesting mental image...." Asrai frowns, splashing at Kassi, "you know perfectly well what I ment, Kassi." Kassima sighs, and chuckles ruefully. She spreads her hands. "That's the best answer I can think of, Asrai. I've nay found anyone yet whom I'd favor enough to care whether or nay they'd win a Lyss-flight. About the best I can do to answer is someone who's male, because that happens t'be the sort of person I prefer waking up with--call it a quirk on my part." Asrai smiles and nods, satisfied. Benden Weyr> Merla laughs! I was thinking in terms of wing leader names. I just saw "T'ren also hates "Truth and Dare", and was thinking...hmmmmm....who came up with that one! Benden Weyr> Kassima laughs! :) Benden Weyr> M'kla giggles. Kassima's eyes travel around the pool, and finally come to rest on Aph. "Since everyone's gone once, sie mine, I think 'tis your turn again." M'kla chuckles quietly at Suzot's comment, and swats her bare backside...just so it doesn't get too cold in all this air. Suzot's bare backside is on M'kla's kilt, but thanks for playing and we have a lovely sliced-bread-warmer for you. backside, hip, what's it matter? Suzot jumps. "Ai. M'kla!" Aphrael's eyes widen, and she peers about the springs, "Already?" One guesses she was hoping it wouldn't get back to her once again. "Shards.. alright. Dare." R'val chortles, "Hey, I've only gone once..." Kassima twirls one lock of midnight hair that's escaped her braid, and nods. "All right. I think we should dare Aph to streak the Living Cavern. Either that, or ride a herdbeast in the Feeding Grounds for a spell." Asrai blushes, "Streak the cavern?" Aphrael snorts easily and waves her hand negligently. "I'll do either." R'val grins, "I vote for the herdbeast ride." Kassima confirms, "You know, Asrai. Run through the Cavern clothesless? Give the new arrivals to the Weyr a show that's nay to be forgotten?" R'val grins at Aph, "Remember the time *I* did that, Aph?" Benden Weyr> Asrai says, "I'm terrible sorry, but i have a RL mini=crisis and have to go." Benden Weyr> Kassima snugs an Asrai. Good luck with the crisis! Benden Weyr> Aphrael snugs Asrai. Benden Weyr> Suzot erks as her ride shows up. :( Well, it's just as well...I'm too medicated to be much good any more. Good night, and I hope to see all of you tomorrow. Aphrael shudders at R'val's reminder. Had she been trying to forget that? M'kla chuckles softly, "Ye shoul go tae bed, ladyluv...yer hear alseep..." Kassima shudders, too. She may not have been there, but she'd prefer not to imagine. "I vote for streaking, m'self, just so that Aph can say she did it once." Another sterling example of Kassilogic. Benden Weyr> Kassima zhaibagles Agent Suzot. Sleep well. :) Suzot nods drowsily. "Aye," she agrees as she stands reluctantly up from M'kla's lap and dresses again. Kassima looks over to Suzot, and raises one prunized hand to wave. "G'night, Suzot. Sleep well, dream well, and all of that sort of thing." Suzot waves. "And all of you as well." Aphrael glances around, "Hey! Everyone's leaving. If no one else is going to do a second round, why should I?" R'val snorts, "Everyine isn't leaving. Just Suzot." M'kla chuckles a bit, "Aye. I'm still here..." R'val grins, "yeah, we still have five people." "And I," Kassi affirms. "So you've still got to do the second round. Which means streaking. Or riding a herdbeast, whichever you prefer." Aphrael sighs expressively. "I think I'll take the streaking. Herdbeasts smell," She adds, as a reason for her choice. "Shall I go and do it now?" R'val grimaces, 'I'd rather smell than streak, feh." Ursa shakes her head, pulling herself slowly out of the water. "I think I'd better retreat before my second turn comes around," she drawls. Kassima nodnods. "Aye, now's as fine a time as any. Should we go along with you t'see if'n you really do it, or can you be trusted?" Ursa towels herself off quickly, watching curiously while she dresses. This is definately cause to leave. Now dressed, she drawls, "G'night!" and turns to leave. Benden Weyr> Ursa gotta scram. night! Kassima salutes, of course, the water dripping liberally from her by now thoroughly soggy sleeve. "Clear skies, Wingleader. G'night t'you!" Ursa clambers up onto Spineth's back with the assistance of an extended forelimb. Aphrael grins wryly. "Either works for me," She responds, pulling herself up out of the hot springs. Waving to Ursa, she quirks a brow at the remaining people. "You'b better be ready for your turn when I get back." Kassima laughs, and gestures to some of the fire-lizards perched around her and on Lysseth. "I'll send some of the Swarm with you, and they can report to Lysseth when you return. And methinks we'll be ready, sie mine." Aphrael reluctantly climbs out of a hot spring. R'val shakes his head with a laugh, "WEll, this I must see.' Aphrael shakes off her excess water, shivering. "Here I go. Wish me luck!" Aphrael picks her way across the rocks to the sandy lake shore. M'kla laughs quietly. R'val grins< "That was a crazy dare. I approve." Benden LC> Aphrael walks in from the bowl. Kassima bows, as best one can when one is neck-deep in water. Which isn't saying much. "I thought it appropriate, given her penchant for stealing clothing and all." R'val laughs, "I remember that incident well. This is revenge, of sort.s" Benden LC> Aphrael races into the living cavern, water streaming off her as she runs through, totally naked. As an added bonus, she takes a deep breath, and sings, "We are, we are, we are, we are, we are from Benden Weyr! We can, we can, we can, we can demolish forty beers.." The rest trails off as Aph catches sight of Salless and scoots back out towards the bowl. Benden LC> Aphrael walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl. Benden Weyr> Kassima ROTFLs! APH! You're *crazed*!!! :) Benden Weyr> R'val applauds Aph :) Benden Weyr> Aphrael bows. Thank you, thank you. Aphrael picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Aphrael hurries back in, shivering as she flings her arms out, crowing triumphantly. "How was that? Salless didn't even get a /chance/ to yell at me!" Though no doubt she will next time Aph enters the living cavern. A flurry of blue fire-lizards follow after Aph, flocking towards Lysseth and chirping their news. Upon receiving her dragon's report, Kassi immediately starts applauding. "A prime display of lunacy on your part, Aph. I salute you!" And she does, quite smartly. R'val applauds loudly, grinning, "Wonderful, Aph, you are truly insane." Aphrael slides into a hot spring. Aphrael slips back into the spring, grinning over to the others. "Thank you, thank you. So, who's turn is it this time?" M'kla chuckles softly. M'kla says "Naymine." M'kla rises and stretches out her legs. Kassima points to R'val. "'Tis his, methinks." M'kla says "Ye all have fun, actin crazed. I'm turnin in." R'val hrms, "Allright. Dare." M'kla picks her way across the rocks to the sandy lake shore. Aphrael ahs softly and grins at R'val, waving up M'kla. "Night, Weyrsecond!" She calls. "Hop up and down on one foot while yelling, 'I love to dance with dead wherries' loud enough for the folks at Bitra to hear!" Kassi immediately suggests, while waving after M'kla. R'val grimaces, "Yuck." Aphrael bursts out laughing and immediately applauds Kassi's suggestion. With a majority of two, it's not hard to decide on a dare. "Good one!" R'val jumps to his feet, hops up and down (naked, of course), and hollers at the top of his lungs, "I LOVE TO DANCE WITH DEAD WHERRIES!" "Louder!" Calls Aph, giggling. Kassima applauds again, giggling so hard now that she can barely breathe. "Interesting performance, R'val, but I don't think we're quite deafened yet!" R'val winces, "I just tore my throat apart. Ugh. I can't /get/ any louder." He sticks out his tongue. R'val growls as the consensus is he's not loud enough. He sucks in a breath, and bellows the sentence till his face turns red. Kassima winds up having to clap her hands over her ears. "All right, all right! Methinks you've wakened the Weyr, now!" R'val grins,' There. S'all I can do." Aphrael winces, but grins, "Aye, that'll do it!" She agrees with Kassi. R'val winces, and pulls his wine flask from his clothing as he re-enters the pool, slurping down a hefty portion, "Gah, that's hard on the throat." "Fat card dawn the boat?" Kassi asks, rubbing her ears to try and get them to stop ringing. R'val regards kassima amazedly, "That loud, was I?" "Almost as loud as one of Lysseth's quieter screams," the greenrider confirms. R'val blinks, "Dear me, that /is/ loud. "He concurs. Aphrael points a finger at Kassima, "Okay.. it must be your turn, now." Kassima sighs, no doubt dreading this. "Well... hrm. If'n I pick a dare, you'll nay doubt come up with something truly horrendous for me to do. If'n I pick honesty, you'll nay doubt ask something similarly horrendous. I suppose I'd best go for Dare now, ere you lot have yet more of an excuse to torture me." R'val grins," Good logic, Kassima." Aphrael chuckles wryly at Kassima. "Don't we always. Okay! Dare.. dare.. hrm." R'val hrms, "Do a tap dance naked?" "Can't tap-dance, sorry," Kassi answers serenely. Aphrael shakes her head to R'val, and grins, "No, no I've a better one. Walk around without your towel while bathing, for.. a whole day." Kassi, without her towel? That's got to be a contratiction in terms. Kassima is actually wearing a nice, thick, opaque, smoky grey overlong tunic as opposed to a towel at the moment. "Deal!" she quickly agrees. She'll just wear her tunic instead. Yep. Or go without bathing for a day, or something. Oh, the loophole possibilities! R'val shudders, "That's evil, I must admit." Aphrael peers over towards Kassi, tilting her head. "That means nothing, you realise. Nothing at all. And you have to bathe at least once." If Aph can streak through the living cavern, surely Kassi can do this. Kassima sighs at the clarification, and holds up her hands. "All right, all right. I can do that. For *one* day." She'll just have to bathe when no one else is around. How hard can that be? Aphrael nods, satisfied. "Good!" Kassima points now at her sie. "And this makes it your turn again, I believe." Aphrael winces. "Ack! We're still going then?" "Oh, aye," Kassi affirms. "You didn't really think you'd get off the hook that easily?" Aphrael did, as a matter of fact. "Okay, shardit. A dare. And don't say riding a herdbeast," She waggles her finger warningly at Kassima. "Please!" R'val grins at this turn in the conversation. Kassima is already considering. "Hrm. Okay, how about this. You have to go into the 'Cavern, stand up on a table, and recite a limerick about whatever subject you choose." Aphrael laughs easily. "Okay.. not naked again, I hope? Salless is mad enough as it is." "Nah. The men of the 'Cavern have had enough excitement for one night." Kassi's impish grin turns her expression to one of pure gamin. "But the limerick has t'be made up on the spot!" Aphrael snorts amusedly to Kassi, sighing. "I should have just stayed in the cavern. Want me to do it now?" She questions. Kassima gestures vaguely towards the approximate direction of the 'Cavern. "A'course!" she affirms with a nod. Aphrael groans, and pulling herself out of the springs once again, pulls her tunic over her head and makes for the living cavern. Aphrael picks her way across the rocks to the sandy lake shore. Benden LC> Aphrael walks in from the bowl. Benden LC> Aphrael bows deeply to Salless, quirking a grin as she tries to evade her, hopping up onto a table top. "Here, everyone! I've an important annoucement to make." R'val giggles," Oh man, she's really doing it...." Benden Weyr> Kassima wonders, idly, if anyone knows the name of a song that's called 'We Are a/n ______ Band'? I'm considering filking a filk of it, but I don't know the original title. Kassima grins. "You've got your fire-lizards watching too?" she inquires. Benden LC> Aphrael takes a deep breath, peering around. After a pause, she begins a half-chant, half-song. "Oh, I wish that I could be.. A very lovely tree. All I'd have to do is sway; And stay in the same spot all day.. Oh I wish I could be a tree!" R'val nods, "Raj is in there, aye." Benden LC> Aphrael jumps off the table as Salless swats at her, and winking impishly at the weyrmom, darts out the door. Benden LC> Aphrael walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl. Benden Weyr> Kindre says, "American Band...we're coming to your house, we're coming to your land, we're an American Band... :) That one?" Aphrael picks her way around an outcrop by the lake shore that is wreathed in steam. Benden Weyr> Kassima says, "That might be it. :) The filk goes, 'We are an Amish band! We are an Amish band! We'll play all night and day, but first we all must pray! We are an Amish band!'" Benden Weyr> Kindre nodnods, sounds like it! :) Aphrael collapses down next to Prefeth as she returns, flipping her wet hair back from her face. "There! I'm sure everyone in Benden is that much more enriched for my little contribution," She says, somewhat dryly. Kassima kow-tows to Aph, grinning from ear to ear. "The Swarm reports that you actually went and did it! My congratulations--or condolences, whichever. Oh, I'm certain they've all found it... interesting, Aph. If'n nay as interesting as the streakfest." She winks, then turns to R'val. "You're up, blueboy!" R'val chortles, "Truth, this time, methinks." Aphrael snorts amusedly, sure that the cavern will be buzzing with rumors soon enough. "I suppose it was my idea to play this.. but I don't see why I should get /all/ the publically embarrasing dares." R'val winks at APh, 'S'why I'm not asking anymore for dares." Kassima folds her arms, grinning over at Aph. "Because you're you, sie! Truth? Let's see, now... truth. What to ask R'val? Any ideas, Aph?" Aphrael snorts amusedly and rolls her eyes, glancing over towards Kassi. "Can you think of an interesting question, Kassi?" Benden Weyr> Aphrael oys. Give back that braincell, Kassi. :) Benden Weyr> Kassima says, "What? You're not trying to take *my* half, are you? :)" Benden Weyr> Aphrael noooos... *whistles* O:) Kassima chuckles. "I suppose we could always ask him about... oh... what his most embarrassing moment was, or something." Aphrael quirks a grin. "Sounds intriguing," She agrees, leaning back against Prefeth's hide. Kassima turns her grin towards R'val. "That's your query, then. What was your most embarrassing moment?" R'val chuckles, "Oh, that's easy. The time Aph here stole my clothes." Kassima wonders with mock-astonishment, "Oh, only that? Tsk! Well, we may have wasted a question, sie mine." Aphrael rolls her eyes, and snorts lightly. "No way! You live in a weyr? How can that be embarrasing?" R'val grins, "Sorry, that was it." Aphrael grins lightly. "I think mayhaps you're right, sie." R'val points at Kassi, "Kassima! Truth or dare?" "I'll take a dare," Kassi responds, "on one condition: that it doesn't involve nudity. If'n y'can't live with that, make it truth instead." Aphrael laughs lightly. "That's fair enough," She opines, tapping her fingers thoughfully against the ground. "Let's see.." R'val chortles, "I can manage that." He hrms, "Allright...I dare you to call your entire fair into this small area at once!" Aphrael shudders. "All fifty-nine of them? What, are you mad?" Kassima rolls her eyes. "Is *that* all? Shells, man, that's simplicity itself. But if'n Aph agrees, I'll hardly argue with such a dare." Aphrael shakes her head. "No, something more difficult." "He apparently wants t'be clawed to death as they all try t'find perches, Aph," Kassi shrugs. "Who am I to dictate that a man has nay the right to die as he chooses?" R'val nods, "I'm insane." He grins, "Ok. More difficult. Hmmmmmmmm. Allright. I dare you to...hmm..." He regards Kassima thoughtfully, "I dare you to let Vidarth win Lysseth's next flight?" He grins at his own silly joke. Aphrael bursts out laughing, unable to speak as she can't catch her breath. Benden Weyr> Aphrael rolls her eyes at a typical R'val-dare ;) Benden Weyr> R'val says, "I gotta be me O:)" Benden Weyr> Aphrael snorts. :) Benden Weyr> R'val viciously tickles Aph :) Kassima rolls her eyes again, though this time with some amusement. "As if'n I've any control over who wins Lysseth's flight! Sorry, but let's keep it within the range of possible, eh?" She winks once, grinning. Benden Weyr> Kindre don't wanna know, snugs y'all, and kerpoofs!!!! :) Benden Weyr> Aphrael hands R'val some of F'lirk's klah. R'val grins wryly, "T'was worth a shot." Benden Weyr> R'val drinks it, and turns maroon. Aphrael gasps a little, shaking her head with amusement. Kassima lightly flicks some water R'val-wards with her fingers. "Silly bluerider. Have neither of you another dare for me?" Aphrael coughs slightly, finally getting her breath back. "Oy, haven't had that good a laugh in a while.. no, I've one. How about singing a song in every weyr's living cavern in the northern continent." "I don't think that straining inter-Weyr relations to the breaking point would be looked on very fondly by the Weyrleaders, Aph," Kassi points out dryly. Aphrael shrugs easily and grins. "What's so straining about it? Singing a song isn't such a terrible thing." Kassima points out, "This'd be *me* singing, Aph. Some things I'll do, but getting lynched by out-Weyrfolk isn't one of them. Keep the public embarrassment within Benden--at least they'd know who I am enough to even realize 'twas being embarrassed!" Oooooookay. As though that made any sense.... Aphrael snorts easily. "Aww, c'mon, Kassi. There'll be hardly anyone around. Say, you can do it in the early hours of each weyr's morning. That way there'll be as little people around. Maybe even none." R'val tsks softly< "Think of the bad rep she'd give the weyr." Kassima shakes her head stubbornly. "Won't do it, won't do it! If'n K'tyn or P'tran heard of it, they'd give me dawn sweeps for life for damaging the Weyr's reputation that way!" Aphrael snorts easily. "Like Benden doesn't already /have/ a reputation." With a wink, she leans back. "Fine, Uri, you think of a dare. And nothing flight related this time, thanks." R'val chortles, "I had to try! Ok. I dare you to recite the name of each of your firelizards. Backwards." Kassima quirks an eyebrow. "Recite them backwards in order of Impression, or the names backwards--like, oh, Avenerbaz insetad of Zabreneva?" Aphrael groans lightly. Fifty-nine names. This could take forever!" She doesn't object at all, though. R'val grins, "The latter, Kassi." Kassima rolls her eyes, but grins ruefully nonetheless. "All right, all right! Here goes... Liryk, Norhppas, Tsivyak, Nonnaihr, Navrad, Navyek...." She stumbles over the pronunciation of some of these, understandably. This sounds like it's going to take a long time. R'val sits back, patiently listening. Kassima pauses before each name, probably spelling it mentally and then sounding it out. "Larik, Irela, Lirtek, Arahcek, Eneliahz, Ayidak, Irdnalyk, Nirzak, Xarvik, Iarazahk...." Aphrael snorts amusedly, grinning faintly as she listens. R'val mutters something about duty calling half-way through the three hour recital. R'val picks his way across the rocks to the sandy lake shore.
