And the start of this log reminds me that I need to dig up that log of Jacob throwing us out of the Hulk too, eh Kin? ;) But I digress. Here we see A'lex, Kindre, Kassima, and D'ton head out to Igen Hold on an errand, and as is disturbingly frequent while there's a clutch on the ground, one of their dragons (Nraith, in this case) decides to complicate matters. Not to mention revealing his secret identity: the Snout! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Log: You lumber south. <*> A'lex is still smouldering, "THEN we're going to talk to this Jacob-son-of-a... oh, hi Kassima." "The lump tells me that there's an expedition to Igen Hold in the planning?" Kassima inquires from on high, with a wave to friends and dragons alike. "She also says that Nraith is acting oddly, but then, she thinks all bronzes are odd... what was that about Jacob?" <*> "Ah, here's our esteemed Wingleader friend," Kindre remarks with a mirthful grin and waves. "We're off to Igen Hold to see if I can find that lass I've been chatting with about procuring a runner," she informs her friend before shaking her head at A'lex. "We can't do that, Lex...bad for relations." <*> Kindre gives Herath a soft, loving pat on the side. Humbling her oft high-held muzzle, Herath dips close to the ground and Kindre half-steps, half-tugs herself up with courtly ease. An unusally easy and contented glint is in her eyes as her lifemate bestrides her. <*> A'lex climbs up Nraith's riding straps, with a bit of assistance from a graciously extended foreleg. He settles in between two forward neckridges and straps himself in. <*> From betwixt Nraith's neckridges, A'lex says "Night mission then? Just to startle him? We can wear black...." <*> From betwixt Nraith's neckridges, A'lex swears, "You're no fun... I was ready to kick some bigoted butt! Oh well.. yea, I'm ready." Kassima peers over at the bronzerider in befuddlement. "'Lex, what *are* you talking about?" Back to Kindre her attention snaps, and she nods in comprehension. "Sounds like as good a reason for a trip as any, though why you'd want a runner... anyway, if'n you want company, we're ready whenever you are." <*> From betwixt Nraith's neckridges, A'lex says "Where are we going?" <*> Seated atop Nraith, He's still hoping... <*> From her gold Herath, Kindre grins. "I told A'lex of our meeting with Master Jacob at the Hulk," she explains, "and the runner is to be a joint gift from myself and my brothers to our parents." Strapping her helmet on, she calls, "Igen Hold, Lex!" <*> Herath takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry her aloft. <*> Nraith takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry him aloft. <*> Above, High atop Nraith, A'lex grins and hollers above the wind, "Okay, just checking..." <*> Lysseth spreads her wings to their full extent, bringing them down with a rush of wind as she leaps nimbly into the air. You spring into the air and catch the thermals rising from the bowl floor to carry you aloft. <*> Herath disappears into Between. <*> Nraith disappears into Between. <*> Lysseth disappears into Between. Between You gasp as the icy black nothingness of Between surrounds you! You hear nothing, see nothing, and feel nothing. The trip takes five heartbeats... Contents: Nraith Black... Blacker... Blackest! You suddenly emerge... <*> Lysseth emerges from Between with a blast of cold air! <*> Herath wings upwards, turning to fly out over the stark expanse of the Igen desert. <*> Nraith wings upwards, turning to fly out over the stark expanse of the Igen desert. You soar high above the Igen desert, winging your way higher and higher into the sky. <*> Lysseth circles about in the sky, maintaining a stable course over the same area. "D'you two know where the Hold is from here?" Kassi yells. "It's been ages since I last visited the place!" <*> Seated atop Nraith, A'lex shakes his head and hollers, "No sharding clue!" <*> From her gold Herath, "I vaguely recall it being south from here..." the rider muses while gazing across the skies. Dragon> Nraith bespoke Kassima and Lysseth with << You think they would have checked this out before leaving... >> Lysseth> Nraith and Herath sense that Lysseth snorts amusedly. << Riders, >> she points out, << are never, ever as logical as dragons. >> <*> Kyoteth soars up from the direction of the StarSmith Hall. [Editor's Note: At this point, unable to find our way to the Hold, we cheated and @tel'd. ;) The scene picks up in the Hold's courtyard.] <*> Herath flies down from above. Fluttering her wings against the kick up of dust within the courtyard, she awaits the arrival of her travelling mates. <*> Jerika comes out through the great doors of the hold. <*> Jerika wanders out into the courtyard, stopping and grinning when she sees the dragons. "Igen's duties!" she calls. <*> D'ton slides down off Kyoteth's back. <*> Nestled in her familiar spot on Herath, "And Telgar's to you," Kindre offers after tugging off her helmet. <*> Kindre gives Herath's neck a loving rub before she slips down with the polished ease of familiarity. The gold's eyes seem to burn through Kindre until she is certain her lifemate is sure-footed on the ground, then turn equally as hot to the surroundings in a quick survey. <*> Lysseth swoops down to a landing beside the much larger golden queen, getting herself settled swiftly to leave room for those still on their way. From a place between two of her neckridges, Kassima calls, "Duties to Igen Hold, her Lord, and her Lady--and t'Smithcraft and her Masters as well!" You slide off of Lysseth's neck to land beside her easily. She rumbles, cocking her head down at you, and you rub her eyeridges gratefully. A'lex slides down Nraith's riding straps and lands carefully beside him. Nraith rumbles quietly as A'lex pats his side in thanks. Jerika smiles. "Come on search? I'd heard there were eggs on the sands..." She gestures. "Come inside and have a drink, it's got to be far too hot here for you..." "I hope you don't mind our intruding like this," Kindre says respectfully and smiles. "Actually, I'm hoping to find Neliea? She was trying to find a runner for me...it's meant to be a turnday gift. How fares with the Hold? Well, I hope ma'am?" A'lex clambers down from Nriath with mutters of "Telgar's duties" to the locals, and "Sorry, got lost" to the Riders... D'ton echoes the 'Telgar's duties' bit, and mutters to A'lex, "Told you." A'lex elbows D'ton. Jerika smiles at Kindre. "No, no, it's certainly more interesting than mending door hinges all day...Neliea ought to be around somewhere, I can look for her if you'd like." Nraith sighs happily and settles himself into the sun. D'ton doesn't flinch. Kassima hastens to tug off gloves, helmet, and jacket, hanging all on the small pegs sewn onto Lysseth's straps for just that purpose. "We're just accompanying the weyrwoman on an errand, Master," she explains with a smile, "as the lady herself just told you. I hope that we're nay causing any trouble." A'lex just receives a wicked grin. "That," she murmurs sotto voce, "and your dragon is as slow as a flying beasthold." A'lex elbows Kassima. Jerika quirks a smile. "Well, I'm sure you've terrified a small child or two, but I've noticed that small children are rarely terrified for long..." Kindre is in the process of shrugging off her jacket and then chuckles. "Aye, the weather is a bit warmer than we're used to," she states mildly, "but enviable all the same." Bobbing her head a few times,s he smiles wide. "That would be wonderful, if you'd not mind? I told her I'd visit in about a sevenday. Oh," is stammers as her eyes widen. "Forgive me...I'm Kindre, Herath's rider and this," she pauses to note each person in turn, "is Kassima, A'lex, and D'ton." A'lex nods his head politely. Jerika nods to each in turn. "And I'm Jerika, master smith, but you seem to have noticed that. Please, come in." D'ton also nods, and takes off his helmet at the same time, because he was planning on doing so anyway. A'lex straps his jacket, gloves and helmet to Nraith before following the Master inside. Kassima wiggles her fingers as her name is called. "Thankee kindly, Master... ouch! Your elbows are too sharp, 'Lex. And you should know better than t'deny it, anyway." With a final grin to the other rider that hasn't so much as a hint of repentance, she nods and follows the others towards the Hold proper. Jerika stops and turns just outside the door. "Well, now, there she is. C'mon, let's get you lot out of the sun..." Jerika steps into the Hold. "You're very kind, Master," Kindre replies and smiles before she hears the thudding of footsteps within the courtyard. " Kindre smiles. "Neliea, hello! Just came to see you, but I think we're going to follow the Master into the coolness of the Hall. Coming?" D'ton sheds his jacket and gloves with unseemly haste once he realizes that the others are heading in. Kindre steps into the Hold. Neliea steps out from the stables, and blinks at how many people and dragons are in the courtyard. Spoting the Werywoman, she smiles. "Hello again and sure, I don't mind." You step into the great hall of Igen Hold. Neliea comes in from the courtyard. A'lex comes in from the courtyard. D'ton comes in from the courtyard. Jerika busies herself pouring glasses of juice; several are already full and set on tables. A'lex admires the size of the hall as he follows the others in. "This is very kind of you," Kindre notes as she enters the Hall. "I've never been here, truth be told, and find myself wondering why it took me this long to visit such a lovely place!" Moving towards the table and taking a glass, she sips from it first and smiles your thanks. "Neliea," she turns to the young woman, "it's been about a sevenday. I came to see if you've been able to find a runner for me?" "You must be the lass Kin says she's looking for," Kassi remarks to Neliea, though most of her attention arrows in immediately on the cool juice. "Well met if'n so, or even if'n nay so for that matter. Master, you truly are marvelous. 'Twill have t'be passing the word along about Igen's hospitality, when I get the chance; this is the first time I believe I've ever visited your Hold." Jerika smiles. "Well, I find I'm beginning to like the place myself..." D'ton helps himself to one of the glasses on the table mutely. Neliea smiles, inclining her head. "I was wondering when you might be comming. My dah sent some more runners the day after you left." She turns to Kassi and smiles, before turning back to Kindre. Lysseth> Nraith fidgits a bit. Jerika takes a glass of juice and perches on the edge of a table. Lysseth> Kyoteth rumbles at Nraith. Kassima accepts a glass too, of course, not being mad enough to refuse. "How long have you been posted here, if'n you don't mind m'asking? I'm nay precisely up on the local news; the only thing I remember hearing is that the Lord was handfasted nay so very long ago...?" A'lex waits for the others, then takes a glass for himself, "Thank you." Lysseth> Herath ignores Nraith. She instead chooses to lie down in the warmth of the sun and nap indulgently. Lysseth> Nraith stands and wanders around the courtyard a bit. Lysseth> Lysseth watches Nraith's twitching with a sort of passive interest, before stretching out in the sun to bask her dark dusty pine hide. Several fire-lizards perch atop her head, forming a sort of flittering, fluttering sun-hat. "Did he," Kindre wonders of Neliea with a wide grin. "Well, I spoke with my brother, Drerak, and he does have the harnesses we'd need, so it seems I'm only in need of the runner," she remarks before pausing to sip the cool juice. "Are there one or two that would fit our needs?" Jerika says "Only a few turns - before that I was at Ista Weyr, but I got a cough that just wouldn't go away and the healer said the dry weather would be better for me. It's the first time I've been posted to a hold instead of a weyr, but I do find it nice."" Lysseth> Kyoteth watches the sand dust around a bit, then crouches, and exhales strongly at a small pile. A small sand cloud forms around his head. D'ton coughs, for no apparent reason. Looking slightly embarassed, he has another drink of juice. Jerika raises an eyebrow at D'ton. Telgar Weyr> Ro says, "How many sons of Slithereth shall we have lurking around?" Telgar Weyr> Meli says, "Hmm. At least one male and one female :)" Telgar Weyr> Ceria giggles. A couple at least. D'ton clears his throat, and says, "Sorry." Lysseth> Stopping in front of the stairs, Nraith looks one way, then the other, then with a twinkle in his eyes, starts up them. This, of course, doesn't take too long, except for when he stops to avoid stepping on a rather startled apprentice who comes out the doors, then immediately goes back inside. He continues to get closer to the doors. An apprentice scurrys in the front doors, not closing them behind him. "Master Jerika, there's a Dragon climbing the steps to the hold." And, sure enough, a rather large, dark Bronze snout juts its way between the doors, whuffing loudly. Telgar Weyr> Ro says, "Cool. Hmm, wonder if one is ready to come scampering through the LC or kitchen...." Neliea considers Kindre's question while making sure that no one had said anything to her. Nodding slowly she answers, "There shoud be a couple that should meet your approval. They were both on the last shippment and I can show them to you now or a bit later if you like." Kassima confesses cheerfully, "I doubt that I'd ever be comfortable in a Hold anymore, now that I've gotten used t'Weyrlife... or most of it, anyway. Still, I recall that it has its benefits. Had you heard about the latest happenings at Ista?" She glances idly towards the Hall Doors as she speaks, only arching an eyebrow at the intrusion of the snout. "I hope Nraith doesn't want juice too," she quips, "or there'll be markedly little left for the rest of us." A'lex rolls his eyes, "Faranth!" He stands, apologising, "I'm sorry Master." Turning towards the snout, he says, "Nraith, get OFF the stairs." Kindre nods to Neliea. "Wonderful. I'll have to come take a peek," is remarked before she smiles at Jerika. "It's quite a lovely place," she reiterates before pausing to glance at D'ton with quirked brows. "Well..." she turns her head back to Master Jerika, "I'm quite envious of..." The rest of her words go unsaid at the apprentice's words. "Great Faranth's ghost," she mutter quietly before offering, "I am so sorry, Master..." A'lex says "Oh, I see." He turns back towards the room, "Apparently the large Snout seems to think there may be a prospective Candidate somewhere in here..."" Lysseth> Nraith, Kyoteth, and Herath sense that Lysseth asks in a leisurely mindtone, << Nraith, have you gone quite mad? >> Dragon> Nraith bespoke Lysseth, Kyoteth, and Herath with << There's one in there... >> Jerika nods slowly. "A dragon." She sighs, and looks around the room to see who's about. D'ton rubs his eyes with the back of one hand. "I knew this would happen. It's not safe to go anywhere anymore," he says. A'lex says "I'm awfully sorry. He usually has better manners than this." Jerika chuckles softly. "Well, I guess I _was_ right. No, no, I've seen enough dragons on search to know what they're like..." The Snout whuffs again. Neliea smiles at Kindre, looking around at the same time, being sure to keep in mind what is going on around her. Dragon> Lysseth, Nraith, and Herath sense that Kyoteth regards Nraith's great big butt and tail, and comments <<Don't get stuck.>> "Again, Master, I'm sorry for the ruckus, but it seems," Kindre begins to speak while lying her glass down upon a table, "A'lex's bronze thinks there's someone worth looking over. "If you'll allow, may we gather a few of your residents outside?" A'lex nods with agreement with Kindre, "I'll try to make it quick..." Jerika stands, with an amused sigh. "Go right ahead," she says, and shoos the apprentice back outside. Kassima's amusement increases threefold at once. "Ah, so! I'm just surprised 'tis nay Lyss pulling this... she's ever been one t'prove that one really can't take dragons anywhere during Searchtime." She gives the pitcher of juice a rueful look before finally draining the rest of her glass. "He'd nay mind if'n we watch, I hope?" A'lex moans, "I'm so embarrassed." He walks quickly to the doorway, shooing the Snout back outside. "Go on! We're coming!" The Snout retreats. Lysseth> Nraith pulls himself out of the doorway and backs down the stairs, looking smug. "Thank you, Master," Kindre replies and smiles before turning to Neliea. "Seems we'll have to wait until Nraith has a peek at you and the others, " she notes and chuckles. Lysseth> Kyoteth snorts at his clutchmate. Jerika shoos a few other young ones outside, and then follows to see. Neliea looks puzzled for a moment and asks Kindre, "Has a peek at me?" She must have missed something but follows the crowd. A'lex says "All ashore that's going ashore." A'lex peeks his head out the door, "All the way down the stairs!" Lysseth> A'lex peeks his head out the door, "All the way down the stairs!" Jerika grins at A'lex, and hurries outside while there's space in the doorway. Lysseth> Nraith complies, then waits impatiently. Jerika goes outside to the courtyard. Kindre goes outside to the courtyard. A'lex goes outside to the courtyard. D'ton goes outside to the courtyard. Neliea goes outside to the courtyard. You step through the great doors to the courtyard. Cyrus comes out through the great doors of the hold. Kassima asks Neliea humorously, "I take it that you're between thirteen and twenty-five, unwed, and nay of Journeyman rank or above in any craft? If'n so, then aye, has a peek at you." Craning her head, she peers up at the bronze bulk of Nraith and just shakes her head. "Dragons. Go figure." A'lex, looking mortified at his lifemate's behaviour, directs the unattached to stand in a line, "If you fit that description... of course." Jerika leans back against a wall, watching the proceedings with a smile. Herath lies in her sunbeam casually and watches her fellow mates look over the small group gathering outside. Her rider grins and nods her head at Kassima's words. "With eggs on the sands at Telgar, the dragons often get 'feeling's about people. It seems Nraith," Kindre explains before pointing out the bronze, "has one such feeling here." Nraith waits patiently, a smug look in his eyes. Neliea nods slowly, still trying to figure out what's going on. "I am 18 turns and I'm not in any craft or married" Cyrus glances around the cortyard The apprentice stands next to Neliea, wide-eyed and jittery. Cyrus yawns and leans against a wall Once the prospects are properly arrayed in a line, Nraith saunters over and begins sniffing at each one. Some he stands longer in front of, some he dismisses with a snort. A few, he actually returns to after checking out their neighbor, but finally, he settles down infront of one lass. D'ton leans against Kyoteth's foot, watching the proceedings. The apprentice sighs in relief as Nraith passes him over, eyes going towards Jerika as if for reassurance. Nraith stares intently at Neliea, lowering his head so that her face is reflected in the many facets of his eyes. He rumbles a bit, as if talking to himself about something. The huge eyelid blinks, then blinks again. Finally the head is withdrawn, to turn and look at the lifemate standing nearby. A'lex says "You're sure? Okay then." Neliea glances up at Narith and blinks, not knowing what is going on. She has an idea, but slightly smiles back at the large dragon. "By the first queen and her gold-riddled clutches," Kassima murmurs, watching the spectacle with something of a gleam in her eyes, "it really does seem that those we spend any time 'tall with are doomed lately. Next thing y'know, one of 'em will be wanting t'Search the Master, here." Cyrus yawns again and sits down on the ground with his back to the wall A'lex turns to Neliea, "Neliea is it? Well, it seems that Nraith here think that you would be a fine candidate to stand for Leilanth and Prometh's clutch. Would you accept the honor of standing on the Sands at Telgar for the next hatching?" Jerika shudders slightly. "Don't even _think_ that too loudly - Master Encil stood on the sands of Fort when he'd more turns than me. Though you won't convince me that that wasn't a draconic prank..." Kindre stands beside Herath, arms crossed up on her chest as she watches. Kassima's words draw a chuckle from her as she nods. "One never knows," she remarks before smiling at Jerika. "I'd assume you're familiar with these, Ma'am," she wonders before hearing of Master Encil. Her eyes simply widen as she offers a, "Wow..." D'ton loses his balance when Jerika invokes _that_ particular name, but tries to look nonchalant about it. Neliea looks at A'lex and nods quickly, "Me? Yes I accept." She glances about suddely shy to be the focus of so much attention. "Is there someone about for us to inform, Master," the goldrider inquires and smiles a bit. Jerika nods. "It was a...n interesting sight, to be sure. One I'll not soon forget." Cyrus's head falls back and his breathing evens out A'lex grins, "All right then. If you'd like to go pack up your belongings quickly, I'll stow them on Mister Snout here, then you can finish your business with Kindre before we leave-- unless you can finish it later at Telgar." Kindre waves a hand at A'lex before smiling at Neliea. "Our business can wait," she informs the young woman. "I can always return and speak to someone at another time, truly." "Was it aught like the time I heard of when some man agreed t'Stand only because he thought he'd make a bundle betting against himself," Kassi inquires, "only t'wind up with bronze? Such things have a way of turning out peculiarly on occasion... oh, excellent!" she breaks off to exclaim as Neliea agrees. "Felicitations, Candidate!" Jerika chuckles. "Theno, that was. I knew him when I was a candidate." Kindre bobs her head and echos her friend. "Congrats, Neliea!" Neliea blinks again and looks for Kindre in this crowd. Finding Kindre and heading her answer she nods back to A'lex, "I'll just get my belonging then." She smiles shyly and almost ducks back into the hold to get her belongings. Telgar Weyr> Kindre says, "Everyone wave to Neliea :)" Telgar Weyr> Richenda says, "Neliea! Hey!" Telgar Weyr> D'ton says, "Welcome Neliea!" Telgar Weyr> Jayna snugs Neliea! :) Telgar Weyr> Ceria waves to Neliea. :) Telgar Weyr> Maylia waves! Heya Neliea! Telgar Weyr> Ro thwaps the goldriderlady "That is not a male's name." Telgar Weyr> T'saren wavies to Neliea! :) Telgar Weyr> A'lex waves at Neliea! Hi there! Telgar Weyr> Kassima refuses to wave, but does toss Neliea a waffle. :) Telgar Weyr> Makear greets Neliea! Telgar Weyr> Ro waves to Neliea, anyhow. Telgar Weyr> Kailia wavies. "But girls are good tooo. Hiya Neliea!" Telgar Weyr> D'ton huh. She throws fish at me, but Neliea gets a waffle. :) Cyrus steps through the gate, to the ramp. A'lex smiles, and waits patiently for Neliea to return. He looks up at Nraith casually and whispers, "If you EVER pull something like that again..." Telgar Weyr> Ceria smooches D'ton. ;) Neliea steps into the Hold. Telgar Weyr> Ro says, "Yes, I know. We have a dozen already....a baker's dozen now, and only 3 boys." Telgar Weyr> Kailia pokes D'ton, "I didn't get anything. And I'm a K..." Telgar Weyr> Richenda got thrown at you, D'ton? Telgar Weyr> Neliea waves. "A waffle? Yum!" Jerika grins at A'lex and Nraith. D'ton strolls forward to join the others while waiting for Neliea to return. "Nice job," he comments to A'lex and Nraith. Neliea comes out through the great doors of the hold. A'lex turns back to the Master, "Again, my apologies. USUALLY he has more sense than that." Telgar Weyr> D'ton grins, silently-like. Kindre smiles as Neliea rearrives. "Ma'am," she turns to Jerika, "I thank you again for your kindness to us. I promise to visit again...this is such a lovely place. Mayhaps though," she notes with an impish grin, "it will have to wait until after the Hatching." Jerika shakes her head, smiling. "Truly, I understand. Hey, he didn't knock the doors in, did he? Or chase the runners out of the stable looking for a particular stablehand..." Jerika nods to Kindre. "It does sound like it might! Though if Neliea's standing I might show up myself." She smils at the girl. "That'd be wonderful, Master," Kindre replies. Neliea walks back into the courtyard, carefully adjusting a bag on her shoulder. Looking around and atJerika, she smiles. A'lex takes the bag from the lass and hoists it into a carrying net on Nraith's side. Kassima grins at the Master, echoing Kin with, "'Twould be the Weyr's honor t'have you, I daresay. I don't suppose you're one t'place bets on such things...?" There goes Kassi, ever being Kassi. Jerika says "Congratulations, Neliea. And good luck!" A'lex says "Well then, ever ridden a Dragon before?" Jerika grins. "No, no. I leave that to my apprentices." Neliea shakes her head at A'lex, "Um, no I haven't." She looks up at the tall bronze and blinks. Kindre chuckles. "I can't wager to save my skin, myself," she offers to Jerika while nudging Herath up unto her haunches. "It would be quite a pleasure to see you again...especially for an occasion such as the Hatching, Ma'am." Nraith lowers himself down as much as possible. Jerika waves, backing off to allow the dragons space to take off, and smiles at Kindre. "I shall certainly try to attend, then." A'lex smiles, "Okay then, I'll climb up. Just follow me, use the horizontal pieces of leather here like a ladder. Nraith will help you reach the first few, just stand on his arm here..." D'ton says to Neliea amiably, "Don't worry, the air's nice and smooth today." A'lex climbs up Nraith's riding straps, with a bit of assistance from a graciously extended foreleg. He settles in between two forward neckridges and straps himself in. Telgar Weyr> Richenda posts to the BB; Kailia's my assistant Candidate Herder. :) Kassima sighs in faint disappointment that's only half in jest. "Really, where I'm ever going t'find new people t'bet with... still, Master, 'twas a pleasure meeting you, and thankee again for the hospitality and juice alike." Kindre smiles and bobs her head several times. "If you need conveying, please let one of us know. It'd be my pleasure to return," she says while slipping on her jacket and gloves. Kindre gives Herath a soft, loving pat on the side. Humbling her oft high-held muzzle, Herath dips close to the ground and Kindre half-steps, half-tugs herself up with courtly ease. An unusally easy and contented glint is in her eyes as her lifemate bestrides her. Neliea smiles as she looks down and up, a couple of times before climbing up. "I won't hurt him will I?", she asks to no one inparticular. Neliea grabs ahold of Nraith's riding straps and hauls herself up the great Bronze neck. High atop Nraith, A'lex laughs, "No, he's tough." You place one hand on Lysseth's neck and she warbles down at you fondly. You grin and scratch her eyeridges once before climbing up onto her lower neckridges, using the riding straps and Lysseth's thoughtfully offered foreleg. <*> From betwixt Nraith's neckridges, A'lex turns around and assists the lass with buckling the riding straps. "You might as well get the hang of this now... just slip them through the buckle like this. Feel okay? Not too tight is it?" <*> D'ton turns to face Jerika, and says somewhat awkwardly, "Thank you for the hospitality, Master." That said, he hurries to catch up with the others. <*> D'ton takes a hold of the straps and climbs onto Kyoteth's back. <*> Jerika smiles at D'ton, and waves again. <*> From betwixt Nraith's neckridges, Neliea smiles as she takes note of the straps and shakes her head. "No, they're not too tight." <*> Astride Nraith, A'lex grins, "Good." He turns his attention to the ground and raises his arm in farewell to the Master and the others gathered about. <*> High atop Nraith, Speaking back over his shoulder, A'lex says, "Now, just hold on tight. When we go between, it'll be dark, and cold, just hold on tightly. It'll be over in a few heartbeats, trust me." <*> From atop Kyoteth, D'ton scowls at the sun, then looks back to see how A'lex is coping with his passenger. <*> Seated atop Nraith, A'lex says "Think you're ready?" <*> Astride Nraith, Neliea nods and tightens her arms around A'lex, "Okay.", she says sounding uncertain and exited at the same time. <*> Herath spreads her wings and launches into the air. <*> Lysseth spreads her wings to their full extent, bringing them down with a rush of wind as she leaps nimbly into the air.
