Talented woman, eh? In seriousness, many retroactive congrats, Meli. :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Log: Kassima's eyes narrow in thought, and she leans back to watch the other greenrider for a few moments. "How long's it been since Juliath last rose, if'n you don't mind m'asking?" "Not _tha'_ long ago," Meli replies. "An' she's not showin' any signs." Kassima nods once, accepting that. "'Tis simply that y'seem t'be in an ill mood, m'friend," she says. "If'n 'tis nay travelling you're thinking of t'be curing boredom, then what?" Meli reseats herself, resting her elbows on the table to cup her chin in her hands. "M'not bored, exactly," she tries to explain. "Jus'.... restless?" "Often the same thing," opines Kassi. "But I'm sure there's a difference i'truth. Perhaps you need t'have some big event spice up your life." She winks, then, and suggests half-teasingly, "Mayhaps you should have another spawn? You'd be too tired t'be restless for awhile at least, then." Aurian walks in from the bowl. Neliea walks in from the bowl. Meli's eyes widen at Kassi's words, her mouth nearly dropping open. "Did T'lar say somethin' to you?" Aurian hops lightly down the steps, "Evening wingleader," She nods to Meli, "Ma'am." Kassima's eyebrows quirk upwards. "T'lar? Nay, nay--I've nay spoken with him in a bit, truth be told. Whyfor would you think that?" In a somewhat preoccupied fashion, she nods a greeting to the two Weyrlings. "Evening, Aurian, Neliea." Neliea steps into the caverns behind Aurian, nodding to both riders. "Evening Wingleader, ma'am," greeting both greenriders as she detours towards the serving table. Meli nods to the two as well, face tightening up as she fiddles with her now-empty mug. "Evenin'," she manages in a barely-sociable tone. Aurian peers over the selction silently, "I don't know." She smiles politely. "Meli...." Kassi leans forward to speak in an earnest tone. "I didn't mean t'strike a nerve, if'n 'tis what I've done. 'Twas only teasing you." A pause, and then she asks tentatively, "Is everything all right between you and T'lar?" Meli laughs, a short, sharp bark of sound. "Fine? Sure, things're fine. Shardin' bronzerider..." Kassima glances towards the Weyrlings and her curious-looking tablemates, then lowers her voice further. She mutters to Meli, "... m'friend--and... you... of... 'tis your... But... well... 'tis... eh?" Meli senses Kassima glances towards the Weyrlings and her curious-looking tablemates, then lowers her voice further. "I don't think I understand what's troubling you, m'friend--and if'n you wish nay t'be speaking of it, well, 'tis your right. But if'n you *do* wish t'talk, well... 'tis what I'm here for, eh?" Neliea looks completly discreete as she picks up a mug and the pot of cider. Glancing over at Aurian, she asks, "Anything over there that looks good?" Small talk, but it serves it's purpose. Aurian concentrates on picking out her meal, "Um not much." Meli nods as she listens to Kassi's words, biting on her lip a bit. She mutters to Kassima, "C'n... talk... more... Could... some advice." You sense Meli nods as she listens to Kassi's words, biting on her lip a bit. "C'n we go talk somewhere more private? Could use some advice." Pierron sniffs at the ignorant weyrlings. Kassima nods at once, looking out towards the Bowl. She mutters to Meli, "... the weyr,... Lake?... by me,... be glad..." Meli senses Kassima nods at once, looking out towards the Bowl. "Aye, certes... where d'you wish t'be going? The springs, the weyr, the Lake? Anywhere's fine by me, and 'twill be glad t'offer whatever advice I may." "Springs," Meli replies, rising to her feet again. With only the barest of nods to the weyrlings in passing, she heads out. Aurian fills a bowl with some stew as she peaks under the lids Neliea picks up a plate, looking over the food once more before picking out her own meal. "It's better than what's in the barracks in any case," she tells Aurian and nods to Meli. Meli walks towards the inner cavern. Kassima follows suit, inclining her towel-wrapped head to the 'Lings before trailing after her friend. You walk towards the inner cavern. Meli walks off towards the Telgar Hot Springs. You enter the tunnel leading out to the steamy springs. Meli sets about disrobing, leaving her clothes in a rumpled pile on a rock. Meli slides into a hot spring. Kassima darts a look towards the pool in which Lysseth is still sleeping, then shrugs and starts to strip off her clothing. Being Kassi, she of course ties the towel that was previously adorning her head around herself before sliding into a spring in turn. Kassima sighs at the warmth of the water, wriggling her fingers a bit. "This is the one true good thing about this place," she mutters. Turning her head, she asks, "What was it you wished t'be speaking of?" Meli sighs deeply, taking a long moment to enjoy the water before she ventures to speak. Meli mutters to herself, chin nearly underwater, "..... stupid bronzer... m'late..." Kassima turns her head sharply, sending ripples through the water. "Late?" she repeats, in a tone that suggests she's not sure she heard right. Meli sighs again, seemingly sinking further into the water. It's amazing she can still talk without drowning. "Four or five weeks." Kassima is silent for a moment, eyes slightly widened, as she ponders this news. "Been t'see a Healer yet?" she finally asks. "Does Jul have aught t'say about it?" Meli shakes her head to both questions. "Thought maybe was a fluke, been kinda stressed lately," she replies quietly. "M'not sure how I feel 'bout it, though Taylar seems t'think it's a good idea." Kassima nods slightly. "S'what I thought with Khari..." she murmurs, more to herself than anything else. "Well. Assuming that 'tis nay--d'you nay want more children?" Meli turns her head to her friend, face a confused muddle of emotion. "I don' know!" she begins, waving her hands and agitating the water. "M'not tha' young, bein' pregnant means a missin' spot in th'wing, seems I don' have 'nough time f'Tam now as it is." Kassima points out dryly, "You're nay that old, either; K'ti had her youngest when she was older'n you, by all accounts. Aye, it does mean giving up flying with the Wing for a time. Biggest pain in the rump of all of 'em, that--but methinks A'lex would understand, all things considered. And as for the last...." She sighs, blowing her bangs away from her face. "I've nay answer for that one. 'Tis bloody hard, I'll tell you. T'lar does want another babe, though?" Meli nods her head, running a damp hand through hair, leaving it spiky in the steamy air. "Seems to, he lit up when I tol' him I might be." Kassima snorts faintly. "Men," she mutters. "Easy enough for 'em t'be happy about it; they don't have t'carry the things." She sighs again. "Still... well, I'll tell you what I'd do. I'd see a Healer first thing. Mayhaps there's nay point in worrying 'tall. And then...." She rubs at her chin with her hand, brow furrowing. "I can tell you that you're right about two being harder t'spend time with than one. I don't see either of the lasslings all that often, and when I do, 'tis for a short time only. *But*," she adds, with considerable emphasis, "I'd nay trade having Khari for the world, even with all the trouble, and even though *R'val* had t'be Wingsecond for the Wing in m'place while 'twas carrying her." Meli sighs again, nodding. "Sounds like th'thing t'do. No use fretting til I know f'sure." Kassima nods almost absently, still thinking. "Aye. And if'n 'tis so... whatever you decide t'do, m'friend, if'n you need aught, just ask. I owe you a big one for the way you helped me when 'twas spawning Khari. Besides--" She grins, then, and shrugs. "What're friends for?" Her eyes narrow shrewdly for a moment. "I hope that the verdict's whatever you truly want it t'be, in your heart of hearts." Meli nods again, smiling faintly. "Thanks, Kassi, means a lot t'me." She sinks further under the water now, leaving only her nose and eyes exposed as she stares off at the wall. "'Tis the least I can do." Kassi folds her arms behind her head, tilting her chin upwards to stare at the ceiling. "If'n you do have another one," she says abruptly, "don't forget t'try and get M'kla t'be there. Faranth forfend you should be stuck with Ushu." Meli laughs at that, nearly spluttering on the water. "Definitely." Kassima gives an exaggerated shudder. "Or Garant. Faranth save us from his puns... the thought of those two is enough t'make me glad I'm nay all that likely t'have more children. Though sometimes, I do almost wish I could do as a friend of mine's doing...." "Wha's that?" Meli asks drowsily. Kassima replies, closing her eyes, "She's going t'find a rider t'sire a baby for her, then raise it herself, without any further ties... 'twould be something, t'be able t'plan a pregnancy like that. She's been asking me t'look out for willing men for her." A faint flush colors her cheeks. One can just imagine how awkward that request is for Kassi of all people to fulfill. "There're times I think I'd like a third, mayhaps a son--but 'twould mean abandoning m'Wing. I couldn't just decide t'do that on a lark. If'n it happens, it happens, but...." Meli shakes her head. "Sounds a bit strange t'me, but f'she wants it tha' way..." Kassima admits wryly, "Strange t'me, too. Methinks I can see a bit of where she's coming from, though. She doesn't want a man, but she wants a child... I'd be surprised if'n nay other's ever felt that way." Kassima asks idly, "If'n you did spawn another youngling, d'you think he or she'd be willing t'join the forces of those who'll carry the Sacred Vendetta on to the next generation?" Meli tilts her head to the side, smiling. "I s'pose so." Meli then adds, "Wha' exactly is that?" Kassima laughs under her breath, opening her eyes. "Oh, you know. Remember how 'twas always saying that I didn't care whether Kay was a lad or a lass, so long as she'd just kick the rump of Mart's children every chance she got?" "Tha's right!" Meli says with a snap of her wrinkled fingers. "I forgot. Yeh, definitely then." Kassima grins, lowering her eyes fro the ceiling to glance at her friend. "Mayhaps we should try t'cajole Mart t'bring the lad down here sometime. 'Twould be good for the next generation t'meet each other. Think about how much extra Mart-tormenting we could've done if'n we'd known him from earlier ages!" Kassima stretches out in the water, stifling a yawn. "This is almost too bloody relaxing," she notes. "Still, 'tis an improvement over the Records Room. Y'know what we should do sometime? Play aerial tag. It's been a long time... erk, unless 'twould make you too nauseous?" Nraith flies over the edges of rock and lands on the far end of the springs. A'lex slides down Nraith's riding straps and lands carefully beside him. Nraith rumbles quietly as A'lex pats his side in thanks. A'lex hops to the ground with a grin, "Evening ladies!!" Nraith slides into a hot spring. A'lex shakes his head, "What, can't wait for me Dragon?" Kassima looks up from her lounging place in the Spring as the great bronze barn arrives. "Ladies? Where d'you see ladies?" she asks, grinning at the bronzerider. "Evening yourself, 'Lex. I was hoping I'd run into you. D'you have a spare moment?" Meli starts awake as her wingleader arrives, the color rising in her cheeks even more than already caused by the steam. A'lex slides into a hot spring. A'lex says "Of course!! And actually, I was hoping to run into both of you, too!" Kassima's right eyebrow quirks up. "Really? Well, feel free t'state your business with me ere I ask m'question of you, if'n you'd rather. Or vice-versa, if'n you'd prefer. I'm a flexible sort." Meli just nods her head, rising herself enough out of the water to be able to listen. A'lex chuckles, "Ok, I'll go first. Kassima, I'm making a trip to see Mother and I was wondering if you wanted anything from... oh, the Benden Wine Cellars?" Kassima's face brightens significantly. "The wine cellars? Shells, aye! If'n they've any Red from the second Turn of this Pass, I've always thought that t'be bloody good stuff... just don't tell your mother I'm the one asking after it, eh? I'm nay poorly off at the moment, but I doubt I could afford terribly exhorbitant prices." A'lex snickers, "I wasn't even planing on telling her you existed. And I'm sure I can have Da pick up a cask for you at a rather reduced price. One of the benefits of being in the vinetending business... Now Meli..." He grins. Meli nods, running a hand through her hair again, though it's mostly a lost cause at this point. "Yessir?" A'lex keeps smiling, "Ya think I could talk you into filling that empty Wingsecond spot in Skyfire?" Kassima grins and winks at A'lex. "Good thing. The sooner your mother forgets about me, the better off I'll likely be... Faranth only knows what kind of vengeance someone involved with wine could wreak." She closes her trap when the other Wingleader's attention turns to Meli--then opens it again, involuntarily, when A'lex poses his question. It might be more accurate to say it falls open of its own accord. Meli's mouth opens, a smile rising to her lips for a moment, before a thought passes through and she gives a slight frown. "Well, sir, I'd love to, but I may have this problem..." A'lex 's grin fades... "Oh?" Meli ducks her head a bit, if she were dressed she might be fingering her collar. "Well... no' sure yet, but I might be, ah, expectin' again." A'lex chuckles, "Oh! Whoops! Well, how about filling the spot until you're sure? Then I'll congratulate you if'n you need to temporarily step down. I need the help, and can honestly think of no one I'd rather have in there." Kassima clears her throat and speaks up with, "Y'know, though, 'Lex, a pregnant Wingsecond can still do a great deal of that annoying hidework. 'Tis what I did for P'tran when he promoted me while 'twas expecting Kay." Meli's grin returns, at the others' words. "Well, if y'think it won't be too disruptive to th'wing, should it be true, I'd be honored t'take on th'duty, sir." A'lex makes a gesture at Kassi as if to say, **DON'T** mention the hidework! A'lex grins broadly, "Good then, it's settled. And if you think you're going to get out of the job by expecting a child, you've got another thing coming." Kassima grins wickedly at A'lex. "In fact," she drawls, probably just asking for it, "'tis almost *better* t'have a pregnant 'second, because you can stick her with *all* that stuff." She winks at Meli. "Keeps things from being boring, too, and it gives one an excuse t'be useful! Congratulations, m'friend--methinks, 'Lex, that you've made a sharding good choice." Kemith flies over the edges of rock and lands on the far end of the springs. A'lex winks at Kassi, "I think so too." Telgar Weyr> Kassima yays and congratulates Meli muchly! :) Telgar Weyr> R'val peers. Why? A'lex raises his head as the large Brown approaches, "Heyla Kemith, where's yer master!" Kemith warbles cheerfully as he lands, careful of the people and other dragons. What a nice brown he is. Mounted atop Kemith, Channie giggles and waves down, "I'm right here." Telgar Weyr> A'lex proudly presents Skyfire's new Wingsecond, Meli. Telgar Weyr> Kassima says, "She was just promoted to Skyfire Wingsecond. :)" Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "WHAT?" Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel says, "Woo, Meli! :)" Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "I gotta, you know, salute her?" Telgar Weyr> R'val says, "Woowoo." Telgar Weyr> Kassima cackles at T'lar. Serves you right, Mr. T! Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Uh..." Telgar Weyr> R'val says, "YOu mean you don't already? ;)" Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "I got tendonitis in my elbow." Telgar Weyr> S'dar cheers Meli on! Telgar Weyr> Meli waves wetly from the springs. "Thanks :)" A'lex looks up even higher, "Oh, I meant Chavaun!" He grins. Channie slides gracefully down Kemith's shoulder and lands with a slight bounce on the ground. Kemith gives his lifemate a curious wuffle as she pats and scritches him lovingly. Kassima waves up to Channie, and calls, "Hey, Nie! Going to congratulate the newest member of the Telgar slave squad?" Telgar Weyr> Meli tussles her weyrmate's hair. Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Hey, I just got that all right and everything!" Telgar Weyr> Neliea cheers, "Congrats Meli! Meli laughs, the sound reverberating off the rocks slightly. "Honestly, Kassi!" Channie blinks a time or two as she slides down Kemith's neck slowly, "Chavaun is Kemith's master now?" Her brows furrow thoughtfully before she greets Meli and Kassi with a wild wave. "What slave squad?" Telgar Weyr> Kindre belatedly WOOHOOs Meli!! Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel rolls her eyes and pokes T'lar. Sheesh. Just like a man. A'lex laughs as well, "You think she's kidding, don't you?" He moves towards the edge of the pool to greet his Weyrmate, "Evening, love." Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Oh, poke me again, goldrider?" Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Yeah, I know. Just like a bronzerider. ;)" Telgar Weyr> Meli stifles some sordid comment about T'lar's saluting... T'lar walks in from outside the room. Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel laughs. Be nice or I'll sic J'ven on you. ;) Channie smiles at A'lex, stealing a kiss from his lips as she sits at the edge of the pool, "hello yourself handsome-one. Good to see you." Kassima laughs and cheerfully explains, "The slave squad of folk who get saddled with the complicated knots, a'course! She's a Wingsecond now--isn't that fantastic?" Telgar Weyr> Maylia unidles and SNUGS Meli! Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Oh, yeah?" Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Like I could be afraid of that .. that... far-taller but less manly chump." Channie grins at Meli and peers at her to find her knot, "Congratulations! Wooo, hide work hide work and more hide work!" Telgar Weyr> Kindre so misses ya T'lar! ;) And has to idle :b Meli glances over, a smile across her face that only widens when she spots T'lar. She waves a wet arm from the springs, then laughs at Channie. "Nowhere t'pin it right now." Telgar Weyr> Meli likes short guys, you lucky studmuffin you :b Channie giggles softly, "well, there might be, it'd just be paintful." Telgar Weyr> T'lar puffs out his chest. ( No one laugh. ) T'lar's eyes narrow a bit as he spots Meli. "Uh...hey, love, think you should be soaking up all this steam?" Meli's face falls slightly, but then her expression becomes determined. "Nothin' wrong w'a little steam." Kassima tilts her head back to see who's come in, and groans good-naturedly when she realizes that it's T'lar. "Great good Faranth and her orange-checkered hiney, but I'm surrounded by weyrmated pairs. Should I flee now, or wait until the sweetness and light has made me throw up in the spring first?" T'lar salutes Kassima, calls chipperly, "Hey, Wingleader MA'AM," before telling Meli gently, "I'm just worried about...you know. Her." A nod to Meli's tummy. A'lex swings around and leans his head on Nie's leg. "How's 'Reaches?" Telgar Weyr> T'lar deflates at Nimiriel's giggle. Channie swings her feet, "Well, if you're planning on getting sick in teh hotsprings, maybe I /won't/ join you in the water." She shifts so A'lex and lean against her and runs a hand through his dark hair. "Eh....Reaches is Reaches. I haven't heard any word about me letter yet." Kassima slaps the surface of the pool to aim an arc of water towards T'lar. "Her, schmer. You assue at your peril, bronzer--and *don't* call me ma'am unless you want t'make sure that you'll never have any more children, *ever*." T'lar grins at Kassima, though his hand moves southward by some sheer coincidence that has nothing to do with Kassima's threat, no way, nope. A'lex exhales loudly, "Well, if I was one of them, I'd not want to loose you either." "Him, or her, or whatever, s'fine, Taylar," Meli replies. "Prolly jus' all the stress f'you bein' so busy all th'time," she says defiantly. Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel awwws. That bronzerider ego of yours is entirely too fragile. Telgar Weyr> T'lar says in a deepdeep voice, "Nothing fragile about me, little lady." Meekly, "Meli? Where'd my rubber duckie get to?" Channie giggles and pulls off her boots, careful not to bounce A'lex's head around too much as it leans against her. "Well, I perhaps--" Telgar Weyr> A'lex nudges T'lar, "Pull down your kilt, your panties are showing." T'lar smiles faintly but looks entirely rebuked. "Can I get you something, Meli? Juice? Water? Something to eat? A flower?" Channie mutters to A'lex, "--I... I... something." Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel spits pepsi all over the keyboard, snickering. Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Yeah, well...I'm not called Woofies, bud. ;)" Kassima watches T'lar's hand, and snerks. It would've been a snicker, but she was apparently trying--sans success--to suppress it. "Actually, though, that might be a bad thing, considering what 'twas I was going to ask 'Lex... and you, too, while I'm at it. D'you both happen t'have a moment?" She gives both Meli and Nie a sidelong wink. Something's definitely up. Telgar Weyr> S'dar wisely stays out of all this ;) Meli grits her teeth, but manages a smile. Kinda sickly or scary, but a smile nonetheless. 'Jus' come an' join me, an RELAX, ok?" Telgar Weyr> R'val nudges S'dar, "See those bronzeriders? You too will end up like that some day. Flee in horror :)" A'lex shrugs, "Couldn't hurt... of course K'tyn is laid up, so it would be a bit difficult to talk to him." Telgar Weyr> S'dar says, "Flee? But they're my role models!" A bluerider on the other side of the pool mutters, "First time I ever heard of a pulled groin keeping someone from being able to talk." Channie oohs softly, either at A'lex or at Kassi it can't be certain, though she does grin over in the greenrider's direction. A'lex turns, "Oh, yea, what *DID* you want, Kassi? T'lar doffs his jacket and boots and begins peeling off the remainer of his clothing. "Uh, okay." Telgar Weyr> R'val ohboys. YOu /are/ hopeless. ;) Telgar Weyr> S'dar grins. Kassima assumes her best expression of innocence before starting, which surely isn't a good sign. "I have a friend," she explains, "who needs a favor. She's looking for a male rider who'll sire a baby for her, then split and forget the whole thing ever happened. She asked me t'try and find her a man." Now *there's* irony for you. "I told her I'd ask around. If'n neither of you might be willing t'offer up your, ah, services, d'you know anyone who would?" Meli grins, eyes sparkling with something akin to... malice?... nah, it's probably just the dim lighting. Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel gives S'dar a rubber duckie like T'lar's. ;) Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Just better not be mine." Telgar Weyr> Kassima says, "Thank you, Nim and T, for getting 'Rubber Duckie, You're the One' stuck in my head." Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel grins. Why would I steal your precious duckie, T'lar? :) A'lex just stares, she must be kidding. Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Duck envy?" Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel says, "Uh. No. :)" Channie's mouth falls open before she snaps her lips closed and glares at Kassima, "What?" A'lex shakes his head and looks up at Nie, she must be kidding... T'lar grins rather broadly, right down to the socks he's pulling off. "You need someone to sire a child for some poor girl?" he asks, downright pleased to hear such a thing needed. "Oh. Uh, wait. What's she look like?" Kassima just blinks at Nie, big green eyes radiating angelicness. "D'you need me t'repeat the request?" she wonders. Meli grrs, reaching over to splash a large amount of water at her weyrmate. A'lex stops, "Wait, you're NOT joking?" Channie nearly falls into the pool as she leans over towards Kassima, "who /is/ this girl?" T'lar ducks, then just splashes into the pool to join his mate. Telgar Weyr> A'lex says, "You can Foxtrot to Rubber Duckie..." Telgar Weyr> T'lar says, "Damn! I missed that question on the SAT, A'lex. Thanks!" Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel blinks at A'lex. Oookay. And here I thought /I/ was weird. :) T'lar slides into a hot spring. Telgar Weyr> S'dar says, "the other day I had the worst "suite" of songs in my head. The Cabbage Patch Kids theme song and the others on that tape. Hmm sorry I'll shush up :)" Kassima replies evasively, "I can't say *whom* she is--she asked me nay t'let anyone know. And I'm certes nay joking! As to what she looks like... well, she's nay what most would call a beauty, but she's got a wonderful personality. And I thought that since you're obviously so virile, E'd, and since I recall you once offering t'help out a female or two with similar problems...." She flutters her eyelashes, obviously trying very, very hard not to laugh herself sick. "M'NOT goin' to share a pregnancy w'any other o'his spawn," Meli states very very firmly. T'lar leans closer to the other bronzerider. He mutters to A'lex, "Any... as... of..." T'lar then looks at Meli, jaw slackening. "Aw, but Meli..." Channie sighs and covertly tries to watch A'lex to see what his reaction to this little offer might be. Telgar Weyr> R'val whips out a large gun, "S'dar, do NOT mention those creatures." ;) T'lar then just grins at Kassima, though some color having nothing to do with the steaming water creeps up into his cheeks. Telgar Weyr> S'dar grins. "Couldn't get the Cabbage Jack song out of my head." Telgar Weyr> Neliea giggles. A'lex knows this one is going to get him in trouble no matter WHAT he answers, "If'n I wasn't in love, and if'n I wasn't weyrmated, I might consider it. But since I want my first spawn to also be Nie spawn, I'll have to turn ya down." Telgar Weyr> Nimiriel says, "It could be worse, he could be singing purple dino songs." Telgar Weyr> Meli says, "Blorp :b" T'lar yelps, jumps upward, and peers into the water whilst rubbing his left flank. Kassima wrinkles her nose at Meli. "Ach, now, was last time really so bad? Sigh. I have t'wonder why she asked me of all people, considering that most of the men I know are weyrmated." She rolls her eyes towards the sky. "Inconvenient things, weyrmatings. Ah, well... thankee for considering, and if'n you know of anyone, could you send 'em m'way so that I might ask 'em, too?" Channie narrows her eyes a little at A'lex and ruffles his hair before moving to strip ouf of her clothing. Wordlessly she joins the others in the pool and sidles up to A'lex, placing a loud kiss on his cheek. Channie slides into a hot spring. Meli just grins slyly at her weyrmate, then nods to Kassi. "No, not bad, but it was you, not some woman I don' even know." Kassima quietly pantomimes gagging over in her corner of the spring as the smack of Nie's lips against 'Lex's cheek resounds. A'lex gets that "Right answer" look on his face that the ancient forbearers of the Pernese got when they won Final Jeapordy. Kassima points out reasonably, "Well, her name starts with K. How bad could she be?" T'lar pipes up, "KINDRE?" Channie giggles at Kassima and wraps her arms around A'lex, snuggling in closer. "Is it someone from this weyr Kassi?" T'lar's look is one of stark hopefulness. A'lex says "What? Kindre? I didn't think the groin pull was THAT bad!!" Meli wrinkles her nose, choosing not to say anything and then left speechless anyway by T'lar's shout. T'lar gives Meli his best "I'm just being inquisitive, you know I love only you" grin. Kassima slams her fist into the water this time, to direct a much bigger splash T'lar's way. "Nay, nay Kindre! Sheesh, you're just horrid, bronzer... Kiat, insofar as I know, isn't incapable. Shells, he's got three kids! Pull your minds up out of the necessary, bronzeboys!" To Nie, she shakes her head. "Ah, nay... nay anyone you know, methinks." A'lex furrows his brow, "Rider?" This is like 20 questions... Channie splashes at Kassi with her free hand, "I don't see why it's such a secret whom it is. I'm sure everyone will find out anyway." Meli shakes her head, moving over enough to curl inside T'lar's arms. Kassima puts her hands on her hips. "Nay, nay a rider, or she could just drink the Water ere flights and arrange things that way. She *asked* me nay t'be saying aught, or I'd tell you... but I gave m'word. I can't be breaking it." A'lex says "What about R'val? He's prety verile..." Channie mutters to A'lex, "I... this rumor,... since the... in... didn't seem like /that/ last... her.... have..." Channie nods her head quickly, "yeah, what about R'val." A'lex shrugs to Nie, "No clue..." Kassima snorts over to A'lex. "Nay, I don't think so. He's nay her type. That's the problem." She makes a face. "She's a good person, so I'd want t'fix her up with someone decent, but most of the men I know who'd be willing are letches through and through." A'lex snickers, "Dragon riders? Letches?" Channie sighs and gives A'lex a long look, just to be sure and then shrugs and looks back at the greenrider. "Well, if she just wants a father to do the honors and then go away, what does it matter who it is?" Kassima asks hopefully, "Do any of you know any *nice* letches? Or rather, letches who are nice without having a slightly... oh... slimy quality to 'em?" With a sigh, she explains to Nie, "She's going t'have a child with this individual; it does matter somewhat whom 'tis. She probably doesn't want a child who'll inherit letch-qualities." T'lar's eyes get that distant look indicating his dragon is speaking to him, and, with a grumble, he gives Meli an apologetic kiss and gets up. "Teyal needs me. I'll be right back." Telgar Weyr> T'lar has to scoot. Sorry for the quick departure, guys. Telgar Weyr> A'lex waves buhbye. Channie shakes her head, "I don't really know anyone who would be willing to do that. Father a child and then just go away. What sort of man is that--" she pauses, "oh, perhaps V'han--but last I heard from him he wasn't doing so well." Telgar Weyr> Kassima smooches E'd g'night. Telgar Weyr> Neliea waves. T'lar reluctantly climbs out of a hot spring. Meli nods, checking her own wrinkly skin. "Time f'me to unpoach as well." T'lar walks off towards the Inner Cavern. Meli reluctantly climbs out of a hot spring. Channie waves goodbye to Meli. "nice seeing you again. Congratulations." Kassima shrugs and replies, "Someone generous, mayhaps, with compassion. She wants a child... 'twould take a generous person--or a letch--t'be giving it to her without getting any priveledges of fatherhood." Looking up, she calls, "G'night, Meli, T'lar. Be well, all right?" A'lex says "I don't like the no privelage of Fatherhood either... I want to know my children..." Channie puts a hand over her flat tummy and frowns, "I guess. Seems strange though." Meli grins, remembering the news again. "Right! Thanks," she waves to all, then salutes A'lex despite being somewhat inside. Kassima thinks to salute Meli smartly. "Clear skies, Wingsecond!" A'lex slautes back, "Night Meli." Kassima admits as she turns back to the others, "I doubt I could do it, if'n 'twere capable of it. Still, I've found a few who might suit. I'd just like t'give her a broader range of choice." Sinking a bit further into the water, she mutters, "Why would anyone want t'be making me their stud-finder, anyway, for Faranth's own sake?" Meli sticks her tongue out at Kassi's back, then heads out carefully. Meli walks off towards the Inner Cavern. A'lex says "Cause you're so good at finding your own verile men?" Channie nudges A'lex softly even though she giggles at the comment. "Aye, and that you're bold enough to just up and ask random men with their weyrmates around if they'd bed some strange woman to have a child." Kassima echoes Meli all unknowingly by sticking her tongue out at A'lex. "Like bloody shells I am! Unless you count flights, which are an entirely different story. You'd think someone more familiar with the Weyr's letches would be more ideal... ach, gah, Nie, only those I'd hope t'fluster and who I'm fairly certain wouldn't do it. I'll probably drop by the 'Reaches and ask Mart, for example, just t'see whether or nay he turns fuchsia." Channie's pale eyes flash dangerously, "I mean, if I didn't know you--I might have to get very upset. Then I'd have to hurt you and your lifemate would get upset and when you had to spend a sevenday or more in the infirm they would have to put someone in your spot in the wing. Think of the mess...tsk." A'lex just grins, "Well, I'm flattered, honestly... but someone else owns my heart, and I couldn't do it with my heart not in it..." Kassima just arches a brow at Nie. "What makes you think you could hurt me?" she asks mildly. "Besides, if'n A'lex is truly yours, then you know full well there's nay reason t'be worrying about it--just as I know, which is why I felt 'twould be safe t'be teasing. Sheesh, Nie." A'lex turns his shoulderblades towards Kassi, "See the scratches? And she **LIKES** me..." He turns back around and winks... Channie gives A'lex an uncertain look, pondering the truth to his words. "That makes me happier than you know Bronzie." She makes a silly face at Kassi. "Well, if I didn't know you and you said it, it might make me real mad." She pasues for dramatic effect, eyebrows arching, "and you don't want to see me whenI'm real mad." Kassima wisecracks, "T'leave scratches like those, I'd say she'd *have* t'be pretty pleased with you, aye." Channie giggles and splashes Kassi, "um well--" she turns her face to hide the fact that she's turning the same color as her curls. A'lex grins, "Aye, I'd say that too..." Kassima grins and suggests to her friend, rather impishly, "Mayhaps we'll have t'be dueling it out with the wooden blades someday, if'n you're ever mad and I'm proddy at the time. Seriously, though... neither of you know any decent lecherous men?" A'lex smirks, "Too bad the Weyrlings are too young..." A'lex says "Oh! What about A'wyn?" Channie shakes her head, "hmm, no, not me." Kassima opens her mouth to object, then pauses to consider. "Huh. Mayhaps. I'll ask her whether I should ask him... that's nay a bad thought, actually." Channie shakes her head, "don't see why it has to be a rider." A'lex says "Couldn't hurt!" Kassima shrugs. "She assumes that riders are the sorts who do things like this, I think. Y'have to admit, most Holders probably wouldn't be so prone t'be understanding." Thoughtfully, she muses, "Perhaps I will go down t'the 'Reaches or t'Ista and see whom I could dig up who might be willing... Ista's got a new Weyrling crop, after all, and mayhaps Mart knows some 'Reachian letches. Or Carissea, or... someone. There's bound t'be a whole nest of letches out there *some*where. I just have t'be finding 'em!" Channie snorts, "What about some younger man who hasn't impressed yet. There are plenty of weyrbred boys around right? OR does she think them having a dragon will make her child more important or something." Kassima points out drolly, "Perhaps she wants a man her age rather than a weyrbred boy. Though, i'truth, I'm nay certain how old she is. Shells, Nie--you know what assumptions Holders make about Weyrfolk. Is it any wonder she'd think a rider would more aptly suit her... ah... requirements?" Channie rolls her eyes, "maybe she should come to the weyr and stay and find someone for herself instead of handing it off to you." She blinks and then looks at Kassi, "oh..." As if an idea has suddenly fallen on her head. A'lex looks over at Nie... "Oh?" Channie mutters to A'lex, "You... seem... fishy... 'friend'... find... you..." A'lex blinks. A'lex blinks again. A'lex swallows. Channie glances at Kassima again after the mutter. A'lex has no comment, obviously. Kassima peers suspiciously over towards Nie and A'lex. "Nie, what bizarre conclusion have you lept to this time?" A'lex says "I refuse to say." Channie reaches out to pat-pat Kassi's shoulder, "You know Kassima. We've been friends for a long time. If you wanted to have another child, you could just come out and tell us instead of beatting around the bush about it." A'lex cringes a bit. Wroxath flies over the edges of rock and lands on the far end of the springs. D'thon slides off Wroxath's back to the ground, landing lightly. Kassima beats 'Lex's blinking record; she blinks *four* times. "What?" she asks, bemused. "I'm nay the one looking for another child. D'you think I'd up and abandon m'Wing responsibilities like that? This is for a *friend.*" There's considerable emphasis on that word, and the Wingleader is already turning a shade of red that can't be entirely attributable to the water. A'lex says "What about D'thon? He's kinda letchy..." Channie mmmss her expression a little sad, one of those 'sure sure' sort of expression, "yeah well, ok Kassi." D'thon manages to wade through the steam, appearing suddenly behind the bronzerider with fingers dancing on his knife-hilt. "You called?" A'lex laughs, "Kassi needs someone to father a child." Kassima tilts her head consideringly, and in the doing, espies Wroxath and his rider. "Hey, D'thon," she calls over, "would you say you're a good letch, or a bad letch? If'n you're a letch at all, that is." She shoots Channie a *look.* "Nie, if'n you think I'd go around asking men this on m'own behalf, you're gravely overestimating both m'inclination t'leave m'duties untended and m'ability t'take initiative. This. Is. For. A. *Friend.* F-R-I-E-N-D." A'lex says "Wow, she spells..." D'thon shudders a little overdramatically and glances at Kassi. "What kind," he pronounces carefully, "of... friend, may I ask?" Channie giggles and sinks a little lower in the poor. "geez Kassima, you'd think you wouldn't protest it so much if it was for a 'friend'." Kassima replies vehemently, "Mayhaps I just don't want people thinking *I'd* go around asking stuff like this! While I'll confess that I wouldn't *mind* a third child, I'm going t'leave the matter in the hands of fate, thankee! By the first queen and her paisley riding straps, you're all mad." Heaving a sigh, she replies to D'thon, "She's a Holder who's seeking t'have a child, but wants t'raise it alone, without interference from the father. She's truly a good person. She has weird taste in whom she asks for favors like this, but still, a good person." D'thon's response is automatic, seemingly without thought. "R'val." Channie's eyes open up a little more, "She had paisley riding straps? How do you know?" Kassima replies simply, "Nay. Wrong sort entirely. I'll nay recommend someone I can't say I both like and trust. Even with L'cher, I at least know he'd hold to his half of the deal." Rolling her eyes over towards Nie, she explains with a gusty sigh, "I *don't*! 'Twas naught but a figure of speech." A'lex just shakes his head. Channie sulks a little, "Gah kassi! you're sure cranky!" She crosses her arms over her bare chest and glowers unhappily at her friend. Kassima admits after some thought, "Well... wait, that's nay right. I don't have t'like 'em. R'val's all right, but I don't know whether I'd trust him. And I don't think he'd suit this woman's wishes. Nay, nay. Someone else." She then points out reasonably to Nie, "Considering what you're accusing me of, is it really that much t'wonder at?" Channie flicks out a finger, "the girl wants a child right?" Channie continues quietly, "She doesn't want the father round right?" Channie shrugs, "And she doesn't really want to see him after the 'act' right? What's so wrong about R'val? He'd do it, wouldn't think twice about it, and then let the poor girl alone. His children are fine and healthy and of good stock." A'lex says "Well I don't know about the good stock part." He winks, "Just kidding..."" Channie giggles at A'lex, "Well, they're healthy." She amends. Kassima replies affirmatively, "Aye. And aye. But I'd really rather *nay* find her a letch... or, if'n it must be a letch, then a nice letch, who doesn't have a sort of... enh, I can't describe it, but R'val won't suit. What I'd *like* t'find her is a good man who wouldn't have any ill traits t'be passing on to the child... but that's hard, considering the nature of the request." A'lex says "Yea, nice one's WANT to be a father to the child..." Channie stops sulking so she can wrap an arm around A'lex. Kassima nods to A'lex. "Exactly. Mind, I think I *might* have convinced Eyr t'consider it, so he's at the top of the list right now. We'll see. I'd like t'be able t'give her some choice, though." A'lex looks, "Eyr?" "E'rian," Kassi clarifies. "He was Eyrian ere he Impressed, y'know. I have more cousins who might be willing, but he's the only rider." A'lex giggles, "Oh, yea, Eyr." Is he blushing a bit? Naaahhh. Kassima leans back against her rock and nods. "Eyr. Gah, this is such a mess. It does keep m'life interesting, though... nay that Wing business and the spawnlings didn't do that already." Channie smiles warmly at A'lex, touching his cheek to see if he's really blushing. A'lex smirks, "Wing business is MORE than enough..." Kassima replies with a groan, "Nay kidding. At least you'll have two Wingseconds now... 'twill be a relief for you, I'd wager." A'lex nods, "And then some..." And yea, he is blushing a bit. Channie listens quietly to the conversations about leadership duties and rolls her eyes a bit. "i'm so glad that I'm jsut a wingrider." Kassima asks Nie mischievously, "Wingseconding didn't suit you, eh?" Sobering up just a bit, she admits, "I'm proud t'be a Wingleader, and I hope t'serve as long and as well as I may... but there're times I wonder what in Faranth's green land possessed me t'be taking this big knot when 'twas offered t'me." A'lex chuckles, "You'd make a good wingsomething. You should try!" Kassima asks A'lex curiously, "Didn't you know that she used t'be a Wingsecond, when she rode for Fort?" A'lex looks, "You ne'er told me that!" Channie smiles sweetly at A'lex and winks, "you never asked. I don't talk about my 'Fort' days often." She giggles at Kassi, "And I don't know how good a job I did. it was mostly paperwork anyway." A'lex says "That it is!!" Channie giggles and shrugs, "I guess I like flying in the wing more then shifting through hidework." A'lex grins, "Aye." Channie smiles at A'lex and shift closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder with a happy sigh. "I'd rather worry about my transfer anyway." A'lex says "Yea. Tha'd be good... but don't worry about it, just think about it." Channie tilts her head slightly, "just think about it?" Channie giggles "oh, nevermind, I know what you're saying." Kassima grins over to Nie. "Take it from a Wingleader: doing the paperwork is a *big* help. Still, even in riding capacity, we can always use another brown." Channie's nose wrinkles up, "but sometimes fighting down thread is more exciting." A'lex says "Oh, I don't know... researching snowfall can be pretty exciting... or not." Channie giggles at A'lex, eyes twinkling. "I guess it depends on who's with you." A'lex smirks. Channie tickles A'lex's side. A'lex says "Hey, quit that..." Channie giggles and taunts, "you're no fun." Kassima wrinkles her nose at Nie. "Hey, Wingseconds fight Thread too! They just get stuck with the short end *and* the long end of the stick, so t'speak. I recall it quite well." A'lex nods, "Aye." Of course, you're not sure which statement he's Ayeing to. Kassima grins to A'lex. "Which is, a'course, why I rather envy you having two good Wingseconds... nay, a'course, that Jal's nay a marvel in and of himself. Anyway. Things're going well with you two, I take it?" Channie ohyeahs quietly and nods, "I didn't think about that. Well, it doesn't matter what if they don't ask me to be wingsecond." A'lex grins, "Aye, quite well." Kassima nods in satisfaction at this response, then abruptly grins. "Thankee for nay replying with something sickening that would make me display m'dinner for everyone," she comments. A'lex giggles, "It's never too late..." Channie smiles happily at Kassi, "well, for working out a relationship between two weyrs, it's going very good indeed." Kassima makes a face at A'lex. "Don't tempt me, bronzer. I *am* glad you two are so happy, but yeesh, weyrmated pairs... Faranth if'n *I* can understand you." Channie sinks a little lower in the water, "and how are you doing Kassi? Your children well? Staying out of danger? Avoiding having people hook you up with a weyramte?" Channie snorts, "Would you rather have us dragging out chins around like someone's beatten canine?" "I'm fine," Kassi reports. "Kaylira and her 'lizard are constantly getting in trouble, Khari's managed t'dye her hair with a rainbow of paint smears, none of us are in danger save during Threadfall, and I've been avoiding that last for several Turns now. Thank Faranth for her nay so small mercies." Channie listens to Kassi's report with a grin and then a little giggle, "Shards Kassi! Well, can't say as I feel too badly for you. I mean, it /is/ your child afterall..." Kassima asks, "Which one, Kay? Or Khari? Sure, go ahead and blame me for the fact that they're hellions... come t'think of it, you'd likely be right to. They're sharding sweet lasses, though. They attract chaos like a rotting corpse attracts bugs, but they're sharding sweet nonetheless." A'lex says "Just like their mother... how sweet." Kassima points out reasonably, "Nay *just* like. I said they were sweet, didn't I?" Channie makes a face and 'eewws' before giggling at Kassi's wording. "Well, I'm sure they are lovely no matter that they /do/ cause trouble." She smiles, "Chavaun is being fostered off to Crom at the moment. I felt it would be best for the time being. Get him used to some hold life instead of being some crazed weyr-brat." A'lex says "I miss him." Kassima wrinkles her nose a bit. "I'm going t'see about sending Kay and Khari down t'Greystones for another sevenday or two, but I'd nay foster 'em out of the Weyr. All things considered, I'd rather have 'em grow up as Weyrbrats." A'lex nods, "I like weyrbrats." Channie grins at A'lex, her eyebrows arching, "you do?" she blinks "You DO?" And a smile touches her lips, "I guess Ishould have /asked/ you before I did the fostering thing. I just wasn't sure it was fair to leave him with nannies most of the time." A'lex grins, "You could foster him here... I'd watch out for him." Channie giggles at A'lex, "you would?" A'lex says "Sure!" Channie runs a hand through her curls, "well, why didn't you say so before?" A'lex shrugs, "It's not my place..." Channie frowns, "A'lex, you could have just mentioned it off handed-like." A'lex smiles a bit, "I don't know how *HE* would feel about it." Kassima inquires, "D'you think you could find someone t'foster him, though? Nay that there's any real lack of people who're willing...." Channie grins, "um, around here you mean Kassi?" A'lex says "We could ask around." Channie sighs, "But will his foster family at Crom be upset for taking him away so soon?" A'lex says "Well it wouldn't have to be right away." Kassima nods to Channie, spreading her hands. "There're probably Lower Caverns' women who'd take him in. Why don't you ask them, and him? Mayhaps they've nay had time t'grow attached to 'em yet." Channie nods a little, poking out her lower lip, "Yeah, I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask." She looks at A'lex for his opinion. "It would be nice to have him around. I miss him a lot. I just wanted to do what was best for the lad." A'lex smiles, "I'd enjoy it." Channie splashes at A'lex, "you'd spoil him." A'lex blushes, "Maybe..." Channie winks, "well, I guess that wouldn't be too bad." She grins at Kassi, "perhaps I'll try to talk with some of your Weyr ladies, seems like Telgar was always good about taking on fosterlings." Kassima grins to Nie and 'Lex. "Mayhaps you'll have more children t'foist off on the hapless Weyr ladies some day... for now, you can do evil with but one. I'm certain the Weyr's nannies could help you find someone." A'lex grins. Channie lifts up one shoulder, frowning slightly as she looks down into the water, "I don't know Kassi. I would really like to, but...." she glances over at A'lex with a soft little smile. "so far no luck." Kassima snorts and opines dryly, "You're just trying too hard. I never had any trouble, and I wasn't trying 'tall. A'course," she admits, "I come from a long line of master spawners." Channie grins at Kassi and makes a face, "well, perhaps there's something wrong with my insides." A'lex shakes his head, "Doubt that." Kassima lifts one shoulder slightly. "Possible," she allows. "M'mother was left barren after birthing me for that reason. But I don't recall Chavaun's birth having any special complications...?" Channie blushes at A'lex and leans up against him. "No, Chavaun was birthed very well and easy." She replies to Kassi. "Perhaps it /is/ trying too hard. I didn't think that could happen." A'lex grins and says nothing. Channie blushes a little more at A'lex's grin and mutters under her breath. Kassima spreads her hands apart. "Search me. I know naught about such things; do I look like a Healer t'you, or an expert on male and female relations?" She chuckles under her breath. "'Tany rate, chalk up another reason nay t'have a weyrmate. They're always trying t'make you blush." A'lex laughs, "True." Channie snorts, "I don't think it matters if it's a weyrmate or not. Blushing just comes naturally to me anyway." A'lex laughs, "And at the oddest times, too..." Channie nudges A'lex and looks at Kassima, "you really really don't want a weyrmate at all still?" Kassima snaps out of her conversation with Lysseth, and just blinks at Nie. "Y'know how I feel about weyrmating, Nie," she replies with a shrug. "I wouldn't say nay to a proposal... *if'n* it came from the right man. Who, so far as I can tell, doesn't exist." A'lex says "What, not even *ME*??" Kassima rolls her eyes good-naturedly at A'lex. "Even if'n you met the second two requirements of m'three main ones, bronzer, you fail the very first." Channie blinks and looks at A'lex. "what?" A'lex winks at Channie, "And what was that?" A'lex says "The first requirement that is." Kassima grins and holds up her index finger. "The very first requirement in an acceptable potential weyrmate: he can't already *be* weyrmated." Channie pushes at A'lex and wriggles away, wearing an exprression of mock horror as she scrambles for the edge of the pool A'lex says "Come back here woman!" A'lex follows. Kassima amends, "A'course, I suppose the first two are really 'He must be a man' and 'He must be a rider,' but those sort of fall under requirement number three, and I take 'em as givens. Nie, you look as though you'd just seen F'lar blowing you a raspberry!" Channie makes a face at A'lex, ducking away from him, ignoring the leers from several greenrider as she brushes by them. A'lex says "I was just kidding!!" Kassima watches the two chasing each other around, and just groans. "Weyrmated pairs. Faranth help me!" A'lex looks at Kassima, "See what trouble you get me into!" Channie makes a face at A'lex and giggles, "Oh, well in that case I guess I could wrap up in a towel instead of letting all of Telgar see my bussiness." A'lex dries off and puts some clothes on. Channie grabs a towel before stealing a kiss from A'lex, "And I /know/ you were kidding. I just wanted to be chased is all." Kassima winks at A'lex. "I do try t'get people in trouble when I can. 'Tis m'job! Besides, at least while you're busy chasing each other, y'can't be *too* nauseating." A'lex grins, "Come back up to the weyr then and I'll chase you s'more." Channie wraps up in her towel and holds up her arms, as if wanting A'lex to carry her off. D'thon chuckles mildly to Kassi. "These things happen." A'lex lifts Channie into his arms easily and whisks the little rider off of her feet. A'lex climbs up Nraith's riding straps, with a bit of assistance from a graciously extended foreleg. He settles in between two forward neckridges and straps himself in. Nraith rises up from the steamy waters heading north over the rim of the Weyr. Kemith snorts and follows Nraith up with a 'what the heck are you doing' look on his whirling eyes. Kemith rises up from the steamy waters heading north over the rim of the Weyr. Kassima pantomimes gagging some more, then sighs and hauls herself out of the Spring. "I should go m'self," she admits reluctantly, pulling her clothes on over her towel. Yes, over her towel. Her modesty has gotten to the point of contrariness. "C'mon, Lyss; you've been soaking your skinny chicken-bones long enough." The green, with an irate snort, clambers out of the spring and allows her straps to be replaced. Kassima finishes cinching the straps, and finally tugs the wet towel from under her clothes, wringing it out and draping it over her shoulder. "G'night, D'thon," she calls down to the bluerider as she scrambles aboard her dragon. You place one hand on Lysseth's neck and she warbles down at you fondly. You grin and scratch her eyeridges once before climbing up onto her lower neckridges, using the riding straps and Lysseth's thoughtfully offered foreleg. <*> Lysseth spreads her wings to their full extent, bringing them down with a rush of wind as she leaps nimbly into the air. You wing up from the steamy waters heading north over the rim of the Weyr.
