Connect the Port

Kassima: "Lag, lag, lag and scroll, gently down the screen...."

This song is a parody on Mercedes Lackey's "Draw the Circle" song. Many thanks to her for writing the original, and many apologies for turning said original into this thing *grin*.

Connect the Port (or Kassima's Computer Song)

Snow is lying on the rooftops, sparrows roosting in the trees.
All the house is deep and silent, except for the clicking of keys.
Up the stairs, on Kassi's 'puter, there is e-mail being sent.
Peering at her online timer, she wonders where the hours went.

Chorus:
Connect the port between two worlds; won't take long to addict a girl.
One day to +watch, and one to play--by two, her will is stole away.
The 'Net is Kassima's best friend, so to her computer she'll ascend,
And let this night spent playing see her MUSH-addicted destiny.

Kassi's been online for hours, bound to the 'Net, heart and soul.
From downstairs a voice is crying, "Hey, your dinner's getting cold!"
But the thought of signing off had never entered Kassi's head.
She mutters at the distraction curses better left unsaid.

(Chorus)

Up the stairs, on Kassi's 'puter, behind a door shut good and tight,
Constant clicking from the keyboard can be heard throughout the night.
If you want to find Kassima--or, to be precise, her player--
Make your way to Kassi's 'puter, for you're sure to find her there.

(Chorus repeats twice, finishing the song.)
